Evap. Problem

This one has been discussed before but I was unable to solve the problem based on past posts. Any help appreciated.
2006 Z71 w 80,000 mi. Trouble code last year for bad evap. solenoid, solenoid replaced and code cleared. Gas leak at top of tank a few months ago, replaced fuel pump with corroded piping. Having trouble pumping gas, can't get more than a fraction of a gallon in without shutoff. I've tried different gas stations, different angles and insertion depths for the fill spout, engine on and off while pumping gas and nothing makes a difference. Had the various lines checked and blown out with compressed air by my mechanic. I'm going to pick up another evap. solenoid today and pop it in as they are cheap and most of what I've read points to it as the problem (even though there is no trouble code present). Just in case this doesn't solve the problem please advise if you have any info that could help. I will update right away if this works but probably won't get to it until late this afternoon. Thanks, as always, for any advice.

Maybe canister is all clogged

Wondering if you ever figured out this problem?? I'm currently having similar issues with the evap code, hard time pumping and now a fuel leak at the top of my tank.

Manny, the leaking fuel could be rusted/rotting lines, and if it is really coming from on top of the tank you may have to lower the tank to view whats going on.
The hard time pumping is likely either a clogged charcoal canister or bad evap vent valve.

The majority of the evap system is comprised of the purge valve(under hood), charcoal canister, and vent valve. EVAP problems are generally one of these 3 components or the lines that tie them together.

If you have a scan tool and care to dig into some diagnostics, this is the video I used when ruling out problems on my truck

There is an enhanced vent valve kit from Chevy. Old one had to intake filter resulting in vent valve sticking and canister filling up with dirt and dust. Replace canister and vent valve. Valve is above the spare tire as is the canister. Evap valve is on the drivers side valve cover if you need to replace that too.
