Just thought i would let you know over at gm-trucks.com i am putting together a zaino (wax) group purchase. Ill find out all the details tomorrow from Sal.

He mentioned its a 4 item minimum. I have heard you get something free with the purchase and it is directly shipped to you. When you order you have to put in a special GP code. If you are interested please let me know here or by email

Ryanb0928@attbi.com

I wanna have some rough numbers for him. Please only serious inquiries

(and no i am not making anything on this. Just thought a free product would be nice for spending roughly $75)

Ryan, can you pull together a deal specific to this site? I know a lot of folks would want in (hmmmm, wonder if I should call the 303 folks and see if they would do anything special for us)

From my experience it will work like this.

You fill out a standard order form and buy at least 4 items not including the applicators and you write the GP code on the top and you will one free Z7 car wash.

I did it once and included the words "free wash"

It is not a bad deal as the wash is great. I did it last month and stocked up on leather in a bottle and the QD.

Each will have to buy their own stuff so all everyone needs is the GP code!

"Ryan, can you pull together a deal specific to this site?"

There arent specific deals

YGMN has it correct in his statement.

I just thought since i will be getting the GP code id offer it to you guys

Well i called this morning and He told me he is "jammed right now" and to call back tuesday. He said at the moment he cant do anything with a group purchase.

Im not home during the day thru the week except on friday.

Looks like this isnt gonna work guys sorry

Give Sal time he will come through. If you search other forums you may stumble across a group buy and be able to get the code.

Just ordered z2 z5 the wash and the leather in a bottle wish i had waited, also i used the z2 and z5 on my Blue Av, liked the z2 much better.....

I know a lot of people that like the Z5 as it seems to give a different look then Z2.

I just have about 3 layes of z2 topped with 2 layers of z5. Been on since early December and still looks great.

Ive already purchased the Zaino and will be applying it tomorrow, but would someone just give me the low down on all the pros and cons of using Zaino vs. Mothers or Miguires. I have people I work with asking me and I can't give them an answer because I haven't used it yet. You can reply here or send me an instant.

Zaino:

Can be applied in direct sun
Easy on easy off...The best ever.
Very low dust when buffing off.
Very light stains on trim.
Durable lasts for 6 months easy.
UV protection
Paint looks like brand new paint job for years.
Car wash replenishes system and makes it look better and better after every wash.
The QD also enhances shine and the polymer system.

Meguiar's (wax)

Cannot be applied in sun
Can be a PIA to remove and very dusty.
Stains trim
Lasts only for a few washes.
No Uv protection (paint can FADE)
Carnubas do have a different look as well since they tint the true paint color a bit.
Too many products (Body shop series, Maroon, Medallion)

I only covered the Paint stuff. HTH

Have you all done the zaino group purchase deal yet if not please let me know what i need to do to be a part
my red av wants to look good too.

I am Otis

Count me in as well. ;D

I have participated in a Zaino group purchase before and received a free bottle of car wash and applicator pad. It only sweetens the deal since the stuff rocks anyway!

Folks:

A good alternative to a group purchase is getting a hold of one of the local or regional distributors. In the indianapolis area our local and very talented distributor is "The Gloss Boss" a link to their website can be found through the Camaro Club site at www.indycamaro.com . They service several of the local clubs including the Impala SS club, the Corvette Club, Later Chevy's Club and many others... the best thing about them is that they are car folks like us and are willing to spend some time going over the good the bad and the ugly about Zaino (much like Sal does). I have done lots of business with them and will vouch for their integrity. Give them a call or drop them an email and let them know Chino sent you. Ask them about a group purchase or an entry level kit, I am positive they will come up with something given the volume of interest reflected here. Good luck with everything...

Siempre,

Enrique "Chino" Barreto
BBB (Big Bold and Black) Avalance 2500 4X4
Full leather and power to boot...

There are many Zaino distributors. Most of them are detailing enthusiest who have used Z for a long time and love to help out new users.

For a list of them send a email to the Zaino web site.

Good Tip Nikon!

I'm a newbie. Let me in on the deal and tell me more. I was about to write a question about what's the best wax to use but you guys are way ahead of me. Where is the Zaino web site?

I use the tire dressing on the cladding and other plastic and rubber parts. I also use 303.

They are very similar products but I find the Zaino lasts a bit longer.

I have tons of stuff that I use and experiment with. There are other products that are similar to 303 and the Zaino tire dressing. Most are watery and not greasy.

I'm in if we can do a purchase. I received my order a little over a month ago and have only had the chance to use the Leather In A Bottle. This drought in N.J. is killing me. I can see I'll be needing more of the Zaino products though.
