A new Flowmaster 40 with 3" tubes and 4" stainless rolled tips dual out the back going in Tuestday!@!!!!!? >:D Can't wait for the sound change!

Truck was just dropped off 4/2/2007 at 9:30am. 3" tube going from stock exhaust to the muffler (Lou's Custom Exhaust version of the Flowmaster 40) difference is that Lou's is 14guage steel and the flowmaster is 16guage. Much heavier constructon. 3" internal to 2ea 2.5" external.
This then goes to 2 stainless steel tips that have a 2.5" inlet are about 36" inches long with 4 inch overall diameter. Slash cut and are being installed at 45deg out under the steps. SHould be done by 1pm or so... Can't wait!!!!!

Make sure and post pics when you get it back!

must be out listening to it? >:D

Here are some pics.. Wet, dirty but you'll get the general idea of placement.

Sounds Awesome ;-) a little resonance, not bad, but the exhaust uses the 14 guage vs flowmaster's 16 guage steel. Much heavier, a little louder and a little deeper tone... Love it? >:D

I'll get nicer pictures when it's sunny and clean

Nice looking congrad's

Looks great, This will have to be the next major mod after I get all the others that are waiting back in the states.

Here's the sound byte!!!!

There is near no sound for the first 15 seconds or so... I placed my mobile phone on record and sat it on the center step, then climbed in to the truck (you can hear the door and the chime). Good start and idle then raced the engine a couple of times.

I attached the file as a zip as it's a wav file and not one of the accepted file types. Windows media player can read it directly so you should have no problem listening after uncompressing the zip file.

Do you have any exhaust pics. from under the truck?

Not at the moment, been too crappy out to get under for a pic. I'll take some if the sun would ever shine for more than a day!  :E:  >:D
