Onstar does do your windows, Seriously, its amazing, one night i was with some friends and my girlfreidn pressed it and we talked to the sweet ol lady frim north carolina and she told me she could, she actually put up all my windows. Amazing.
Great if your in the USA, but outside there... no go. I should have an answer by 14 Sep 02, when the parts man gets back.

Any update SKIDD?
I would like to have express up feature. I have to roll my window down pretty frequently and I would like this added feature.
I just got express window down.......I had a Viper window module added to my Viper remote start/keyless entry. ?They can do 1 module or 2 each controlls 2 windows.
1)push aux button on key fob vents both windows 3 inches each time pushed
2)hold the button and both roll down all the way
3) hit the keyless enty lock button and doors lock, windows roll up and alam comes on
4)both interior window buttons now work as EXPRESS Down buttons.and up

Saw their ad in Street Rodder magazine which showed among many cool mods a express down on all windows just by pressing the window button for a moment. The website does not show it but call them.
They also have automatic Tailgate lock kits. None listed specifically for Avalanche but I am sure that they can accomodate it.

Well, I found the part number for Autoloc's express down/up window module. ?It's WC1000, if you do a search, you should get the picture and some info. ?I'm taking the plunge today and ordering it. ?It's just under $40 bucks. I found out that you need 1 module per switch. I'll post some more news once I get them installed.
Any news yet on this Modification I am also interested in the express up feature for all four windows.MI_99XPL said:
Having all the wondows run on the express down would be nice. as long as it was a switchable option. When we have kids, I don't want the window to fly down all the way when I am driving and lowering the window. I would prefer to be able to just tap it down to the level without having to watch it.

I installed 1 module so far, the rear passenger side window. I installed the module between the rear window switch and the motor. I have both express down and up using both the rear window switch and the driver's switch. The part that sucks is that I need to run a constant power wire to the module. So I need to tear apart most of the interior around the door area. Before I do the next door, I need to find a power supply and consider changing my speakers to make the tear apart worth while in the cold Michigan Winter weather.
But the module works great. I'm very happy that I can control the express up and down feature with both switches. And a quick tap, either up or down, stop the express feature. So I can stop the window anywhere I want to.

The door was easy; 2 screws, pop off the cover around the handle, lift the door panel, then pull out the light, then disconnect the window switch.
The tough part was taking off the B piller panel (my top clip was screwed up) and pushing the power wire thought the door grommet that all the other wires run through. And it was cold outside, so I had to stop a few times because my hands lost feeling.
I never tried the window lock switch because i didn't use that feature anyway. Sorry. I'll check that when I run the power wire. But it may not be for a while due to the weather.

Any word on swapping out a Candian EXT's express-down feature on all 4 windows into an Av? Is it just a simple replacement of the driver's window contoller?
This was something that in the end I didn't pursue as the 2003 av's have express down on both front windows which was enough for me.SnowTrojan said:

My buddy from Canada has talked to his friend at a Cadillac Dealer. The 02 Escalades have express down on the front 2 windows. I don't know if the EXTs have it or not, but they said that the '02 Escalades do.
Now, I just need a part number.........

Well it sounds like a first, THey added something on the 2003 I have express down on Driver and Passanger window but not the rear windows.
Should be an easy test, unplug the dirver switch and use it on the other non-express window... What's the worst that could happen, blown fuse...

I ordered the service manuals yesterday. Should arrive in 2 weeks.... I'll have a look at the circuit then....
Service manual includes the Escalade EXT, Denali's, etc..

I don't believe it, the manuals arrived yesterday....
Had a look for the express down.... Did not show up at all in the wiring diagrams.... I would suspect that its either in the switch itself or worse its in the Driver Door Panel Computer... thus would be more expensive...
I will contact the parts guys next week and see if there is a difference in the switches and/or DDM
Update!!!
Looks as if the switch itself is the key to getting this to work... But you can't just buy each switch individually... You have to buy the entire assembly.... Thus gets quite expensive to buy a complete assembly to dismantle both to swap over the front express window switches to the rear window switches on the other assembly... And you might find out, that the DDM still requires some programming...... I've come up empty on the info for this....

well its been a few months....just wondering if there is any thing new for this mod....looking forward to it...soo deos MI_99XPL have like hte closest thing to the solution so far? or did i miss something?? back in dec of 02 de said he got an after market module to work....did ya get the rest of em done MI_99XPL??
