EXT CLADDING ON A AVALANCHE?

DO ANYONE KNOW ABOUT PUTTING THE CLADDING OFF A CADILLAC EXT ON A CHEVY AVALANCHE? I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD DO THAT? IF ANYONE KNOW IF THAT WOULD BE POSSIBLE THEN PLEASE GIVE YOUR OPINON! OR IF YOU HAVE DONE IT, PLEASE POST A PIC OF IT!

only the upper cladding that attaches to the bed can be swapped. the lower cladding on the ext has different mounting locations, doesn't match up with the avalanche's body lines, and requires different fenders... that require a new hood and grille so on...

i'm putting the ext upper rear cladding on my truck in the next few weeks, i'll have photos up soon. hope this helps

I was quoted $1800, think that included paint and all. That was from a guy on ebay. I saw somewhere on here it said $900, paint not included. The 900 was from a Caddy dealer. I want to do the same thing.

I took my Av in for a quote on that same thing...

They did a price comparison b/w swapping with EXT parts or sanding down the current set-up. Each EXT upper-sail assy was around 250$ + paint, it turned-out to be more cost effective working the OEM parts.

I heard that you could swap the Escalade EXT door cladding, just not the rest.

I heard that you could swap the Escalade EXT door cladding, just not the rest.

you can swap out all the cladding for the EXT stuff if you want. it is not a simple swap however. all the upper cladding will swap over. the clips on the middle sail panel will not line up however. this is an easy obstacle to overcome. i did it. next, the door caldding has different clip mounting positions as well. not to mention the different lines on the fenders and rear quarter panels. this also can be reworked to give a nice finish. all you need is the money.

What about putting the EXT lower cladding on a WBH? I looked at the lines on the EXT briefly, and they look like a WBH with cladding.

Well, hopefullay a WBHer will give this a try and see how difficult it is. Hopefully they'll have a black WBH AV!
