Hello all,
I just bought a 2004 Avalanche 2500 and I'd like to buy the factory repair manual for it, or download it for free if possible 😁

I'm new to the Avalanche but not to wrenching so wiring diagrams, repair procedures, torque values are very helpful. I have many Bentley repair manuals for my BMWs and they are helpful, looking for something similar for the Avalanche. Any help is appreciated.

As soon as I have enough posts, I'll throw up some pics. BTW, i just added GM to my Foxwell NT520 scanner for $60 and it does read other control modules including TCCM.

I just bought a set of GM service manuals off of Ebay. They were not cheap by any means, but I've had my 2500 for 4 years and plan on keeping her from now on, so it was worth it to me. Last year I bought a flash drive that supposedly had the manuals loaded on it, but had some ass-backwards way of getting into it, and I became frustrated with it and tossed it into a drawer. It was only $14, so not even worth my time to try and send it back. If you plan on keeping your Avy and know your way around a toolbox, then factory paper manuals are worth the $$$. Cheapie or free ones will just frustrate you. And welcome to the Big Block Club!!!

Thank you for the warm welcome! Feels good to be a part of such a small group.

Just checked on ebay and woah! those factory service manuals are like $600!! I'm not sure I can pull myself together to spend that much on repair manuals. I thought $90 was a lot for our BMW X3 manual.

Are any of those FSM copies on CD any good? I don't mind paying for a repair manual but $600 is steep for me.

Thanks all! Yep, I've lived in the Greenville area for the last 6 yrs or so, love having close to 4 seasons, at least compared to south GA.

That would be the question if that really is the entire FSM on disc for $15.94. Not bad if so.

Can you post pics directly here or do you have to host them somewhere?

You can post directly here but I think you need to have >10 posts of your own first. Just read some threads and reply to >10 and you should be good to go.
