Farewell

GUEST
Valued Members,

After much thought, I have decided to not purchase an Av. I had a factory order coming in December but for reasons I will not bore you with, I have decided to put the purchase on hold for a year or two. I intend to purchase my Jeep Grand Cherokee at lease end (December 16), along with an extended warranty of course. I bought an old Venture van from one of my partners for my wife to learn to drive and will give her the Jeep in a year or two. Then I will buy my Av. At that time, I expect that this forum will be stronger than ever.

I must say that over the past few months, I've truly enjoyed reading everyone's comments. For what it's worth, in my view this is a club blessed with enthusiastic, diverse and very intelligent members. I felt as though I got to know some of you personally along the way, as strange as that may sound (although I'm sure that most of you have experienced this same feeling).

It is absolutely fantastic to be able to have this resource available, free of charge, which is comprised of members exponentially more reliable and knowledgable (not to mention creative) than any of the salespeople in my area.

It has truly been a pleasure and a privilege reading your posts. On a positive note, I can now return to my work full time without constantly taking breaks to review this site.

Thanks again and I'll return in the future when I'm back in the market.

P.S. I know that this should probably be in the "Dave's Bar" forum, but I thought that it might get a little better exposure here. Sorry for the (intentional) misposting.

Hey WAIT A MINUTE! Just cause you're not getting one at this moment in time doesn't mean you can't be a member of our GREAT community. This website is for AV owners and enthusiasts. Your welcome to stay as long as you like, or until you get fired for misuse of the internet at work.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :B:

Hope you have a change of heart Mtnbkr, and at least stick around the site!

Both mudbug and steel have a valid point...just because you don't own one yet doesn't mean you have to leave us...we enjoyed your input and your view point on numerous issues we have discussed from the past to the current...losing you would be a blow to our online community....think it over...in the end you may want to stay...if not...we'll hold the fort down till you get back...good luck in whatever you decide... :B:

Dave...

Sure sad to see you go. ?I wish you luck , and not having withdrawals and all. We will save you a seat. >:D

Sorry to see you go as well. Please stop by and visit often. All of us want to hear from you. Have a happy holiday season.......

It's not going to be that easy... I bet your innerself will not let you drop us cold turkey ;)

It could be a long drawn out process :(

:6:
Mtnbkr,

Sometimes life makes certain choices for us without our input. FWIW the fact that you have bid us (collectively) a temporary farewell and not just dropped off the face of the earth leads me to the conclusion that you are an honorable person who respects his peers. As you can also see by the responses to this thread you are thought of with the same compassion and respect. As I've stated before, as important as the Av is to all of us, owners and enthusasiasts alike, the important thing is the quality of the people who frequent this place. (y)

Good luck in the future and may your return be swift. ;)

:B: :B: :B:

Sounds like this is not truely a farewell but more of an 'until we meet again'. :)

This site is, I believe, open to all AV and EXT entheusiasts, where they own one or not. Stick around and keep up with the current trends/news/jokes.

That's too bad Mtn. Don't know the detaisl, but I was looking forward to having another Av club member in the neighborhood. Take care hope to 'see' you later.

You can always MOD out your Jeep. I will still check out your pics! ;) Like pdxkevin says, you will still be an AV enthusiast...Right?

Mntbkr, Good luck to you and I BET YOUR HEAD WILL TURN EVERY TIME AN AV GOES BY!!!!!! You will be back and welcome anytime. ;D

mtnbkr: I have enjoyed talking with you, and I hate to see you go, but it sounds like you know what you must do... ?

We will be looking forward to your return, and hey - there is no monthly fee for CAFCNA membership, so please feel free to drop by anytime (often!) just to say "Hi" and see what is going on in the AV world, and take a break from the grind! ?

Until next time... ? ?

Seven ?

As long as that evil little desire in your heart for an AV is still alive, trust me you will not be able to stay away from this site. We are like a family here. Ownership doest not equal membership. Heck, I heard we got a teenager here with so many posts and yet he is not even old enough to drive, much less purchase an AV yet.

The introduction of the internet into the fabric of our lives has made this world very small indeed. I can share my AV problems and solutions, good stories and bad stories, suggestions and recommendations, with somebody as far away as Australia, a country I probably will never be able to visit, yet talk to as if he is living next door and our AV's are parked next to each other.

Don't be a stranger. Maybe you will be one of the first owners of the 2005 model AV, you know, the one that has the 50 caliber machine gun mounted on the roof as standard equipment.

Bye. Drop by often...

They're right, you know. Just because you don't own an Av doesn't mean you can't stay. I don't. Skidd doesn't. SO?

Anyway, farewel...

So . . . ya say there's still an Av in your future . . . then ya gotta stay in touch! And what better way than with this forum - (they don't come no better ya know - just as trucks don't come no better than the Av!)

mtnbkr...................YOUAREGOINGTOGETANAVALANCHE
