Finally Painted my Cladding Today

(y) (y) looking good dude

I try....I ordered some red plasti dip and when it gets in im going to dip the "avalanche" on the doors and tailgate....Im hoping it will look as good in person as it does in my head.

looks great man are you going to paint the upper cladding also? what did you use to paint? and what did you use on your tail lights? Excited to see how the plasti dip works out keep us updated.

if by upper cladding you mean the sail panels, i already painted them. I painted it all with Krylon Fusion Black Satin. I used VHT Night Shades on my tail lights. Im headed to Atlanta tomarrow morning and ill be there till sunday but hopefully the dip shows up while im gone and ill have it on sunday afternoon.

how man cans did it take to do the sail panels? also did u black out the 3rd brake tail light with the nite shade? love the black look scotty

Im not sure how many cans it would take to do just the sails. i used 10 or 11 cans to do the whole thing. My son pointed out to me when we where taping the truck off that i did not black out the 3rd brake like, so I will be doing that this weekend.

wow it looks like its already blacked out from the picture. Nice job through the entire project though. Very impressed im considering doing it to mine also. My sails are just starting to fade now. Its a 2011

Let me know how it's holding up. I did mine last summer and there are now a few places where it is scratching off and you can see the gray underneath.  This is a lot more apparent on my rear bumper and upper cladding as well as the bed covers. Just little scratches that you won't notice from a distance but I see them and they irk me. I plan on redoing it this summer if it ever stops snowing but will use adhesion promoter/ primer first.

I am planning on doing this summer but my only question is, how easy is it to touch up?
Pretty easy just mask off the area to protect from over spray and go to it..  I painted mine about 3 years ago this summer..
