Nothing new for most of you....just trying to catch up! ;D

Changed my DRL's to amber and changed to fog bulbs to 50W.

Also installed the headlight controller from R&D. Looking at the instructions I thought I was going to be in for some serious work but turned out to be very easy. A little cramped splicing into the first couple of wires but besides that piece of cake! :B:

My silverstars should be delivered early next week as well as my mud flaps and window visors.

What should I do next? Probably gonna get a stull grill and new bowtie. The time for some performance stuff!

Hey Carrerarod,

Just did my grill and bowtie mod recently. Love the new look. Don't forget the billet gas cover to match!

I hope I haven't been a bad influence on you guys

Too late for that! :) Seriously, I think that everyone here has been an inspiration, not a bad influence.

My wife would say bad influence! I say good influence! I mod all my vehicles, some are harder than others but then again I am a caroholic and I will find a way! :0:

Master Gandolphxx posted a list a couple of days after I got my ride with the top 10 perf. mods he would do to the AV. I don't think anybody here would argue after reading his posts that he knows what he is talking about! I tried to follow one of his threads (whipple was it?) and he lost me. So right now I am researching each mod one at a time to see if it fits my vision for my truck and will pull the trigger if it does! :D

Sorry guys, that was me above. Forgot to log in...

Hey goo929: I haven't searched this whole site yet but have you ever posted a detail list of everything you have done to run your ride, specifically with all the lighting/electrical ?? or is that top secret stuff? ;D

I have never made a complete list. ?I talk about my exterior mods and neons. ?Unfortunately I have had some criminal "interest" in my vehicle so I don't talk specifics about my sound or security systems.

For my lighting, I use Liteglow products. ?I have purple PRO-Series "Lowglow" neons under my truck. ?I have purple "Mach" neons which pulsate with the music in the front floor. ?I have a purple pulsating neon for my headunit and a purple rod to light up my subs. ?In the parking lights and head lights, I have purple strobes that are set to alternately flash. ?I am waiting for some purple tire valve caps which are light and motion sensitive. ?They look like a neon circular flash around your chrome wheels at night ... too cool. ?Of course there is more stuff coming but I have been busy with some other things ?;D

I have been thinking about the dual battery MOD so I can really go wild with my lighting. ?We talked about in this thread ... Deep Cycle Battery

Happy MOD-ding,

goo929

carrerarod,

Also, forgot to my mention my varad scanner above?my rearview mirror which is visible in my trademark photos. ?

Details about my exterior MODs are at Rare Daytime Goo AV Photo.

Very sweet! I think I would get a lot of interesting looks with neon on my AV here in SoCal... ;D

Hey carrerarod, watch your fog lights carefully. if they are the same quality as in the Silverados, those 50watters will melt your housings. I melted mine within a week so be extra careful. On the stock silverado fogs, you can't go above 37 watts.
Just thought I'd let you know.

Carrerarod and Jason
The 50W fogs should be OK. There are a number of members here that are running the 885s (50W) and they seem to be fine. I actually went with 899 (37.5W) to be on the safe side.

There is some discussion in the Fog Lights thread a while ago.

I've got the 50 watt fogs...use them for a least a half hour a day for the past 2 months, no signs of heat damage.

Well I'm glad the Avy's have been quality fog lights. That was the deciding factor that made me do the Tahoe Z71 front airdam upgrade. I definitely like it a lot better than the stock airdam and lights. The melted housing just gave me a reason to do the mod sooner.
