Flowmaster Customer Service

After the disaster of a time I had last week with the muffler shop I picked to put on a Flowmaster muffler where the put on a 2.5 inch on my standard 3 inch system this is good to know for future Flowmaster purchasers.

When they originally put on the wrong muffler I did register the product on line along with comments as well as calling the company.

I have received a couple of emails offering their assistance in dealing with the shop from Flowmaster.

Just FYI for you future Flowmaster owners. Seems like they still know what customer service is as it should be.

Actually, you don't realize how common your issue is. Most shops don't stock 3" inlet/outlet as a standard stock size. Since there is no way most will let you leave without a muffler, they will choke down the pipe or flare the muffler to get a 2.5" on the truck..... They will rarely inform you of this practice.....
 
They were not pleased the next day when I told them to put on the correct one only I was so upset that they hacked up my factory stainless system I just had a complete cat back magnaflow put on instead.  It would have been really hard for them to screw that up. They also did credit me completly for the botched job they did.

They should have! it was their screw up that they didn't listen in the first place!  :beating: You should of told them that they remind you of fast food places!
 
I've always been happy with FM Customer service. Been using FM since '88 and have talked with them several times. They replaced a 50 for a 70 for me in '99 when the 50 had waaaaay too much interior resonance on my '99 X-cab. :love:
