OK, just got it installed.

Flowmaster Force II kit- has 3 inch pipe, resonator, 70 series muffler, and polished stainless tip. Bolt application.

More quiet than I expected, but louder than stock. Gives a good throaty sound on acceleration. Nice and quiet in the cab at highway speeds, but you can hear it during passing. Overall I am pleased, but was hoping for a little deeper sound. Performance is slightly improved, I can feel a little better response from the pedal. I am hoping for better fuel mileage.

Just purchased a new 2002 AV 1500. I was going to add dual exhaust to improve performance... Curious what this setup cost ya...? My Wife controls wallet of course ... so I need to know how much to beg !! ???

$479 is retail. I bought mine from Summit Racing for around $312.

I had a local Midas shop install it for $75, took about 20 minutes.

Ahhnuld,

I am curious as to why you put the resonator on with the 70 series Flowmaster. I had the 70 series and felt it was to quiet for me. If you get rid of the resonator that should give you what you want. The 70 series doesn't have any in cab resonance by itself.

Hey Xrover,
I did consider doing just that, and read another post of someone who tried with and without. I figured that it all came as a package, and would be easier to take it off, rather that add it later. It turns out that I like the sound fine as it is, since I tend to carry the family quite a bit on the weekends. The wife is not a fan of the excellent Flowmaster sound, as I am. But all in all, it does give me enough rumble to enjoy, especially in the covered parking garage downtown. I LOVE zooming up the ramps. ;D
