Muffman,

muffman i have a couple of questions for you if you don't mind. ;D

On the 70 series muffler that you reccomend what is the size difference in length between that and the stock muffler?

Can the unit be moved from it stock location to further down by the back of the truck.

Reason being is i am looking to put a subwoofer under rear seat and have a box placed under the cab firing up into it and I could use the space that the exhaust is at. I thought about moving the muffler further back on the vehicle and then use wraps or heat shields to divert heat away from the sub enclousre

Phat,

The stock GM muffler is 24-inches long, and has a 7 1/2-inch by 12-inch oval case. The Flowmaster 70 series big block muffler 22-inches long, and has a 5-inch by 10-inch oval case.

You can only move the muffler back a few inches without jeopardizing your rear hanger point which comes off of the rear crossmember just before the rear end.
