what does anyone feel about this company and their headers and cats package for the AV.

I heard they are a very good company with a seriuos nack for performance.

Maybe some CAFCNA pros could give me an answer.

Its a nice looking system johnboy..., I have been looking at it..., my only concern is that most of the True Long tube headers have shown at pretty large drop in low end H.P. and Torque on the 5.3 until about 4000 r.p.m... The Dyno shop ive been working with says the verdict is still out on these for trucks until they get to do some testing on them.., so im waiting to see what results they get when they get to test them......

I'd swear those are the dynatech headers I installed last week. They've got that same funky hump in #3 pipe. Everything looks the same including the price.

i had the TOGs installed and there are no leaks suppposedly, but when i punch the gas, right under the drivers side you hear a ticking sound a low sound that tick tick tick but fast.

is that how headers are supposed to sound?

plus my corsa, i think has a back pressure issue, cause the truck moves every other time you punch the gas.

i gotta go have this checked out again.

i wanted an exhaust that provided good flow but wasnt loud inside the cab. i had a flowmaster 50 but that was too loud.

I like the Borla johnboy.., its deep and nice when your into the throttle.., but when you cruise at a steady r.p.m you dont even hear it in the cab much at all.., its one of the quietest of the straight through exhausts ive heard..., which is why I went with it..., I didn't want resonance in the cab when cruising...... Im really happy with the ceramic coated JBA headers there similar to the mid length TOGs.., no leaks and they hold the heat in and keep the underhood temps down.., and they make good power down low under the curve 2000 to 4500 r.p.m.... Its more important to make good power and torque in this r.p.m range on a Heavy truck with a small cube motor than from 4500 to 6500 r.p.m.. Power in this range is great for a light weight car with gears that can pull quickly through the power band.., but doesn't help a Heavy weight truck at all., in fact it Hurts......

i just got my jba cat4forwards titanium ceramic coated.

i have the togs installed.

i am replacing them with the jba's with new factory cats.

personally, i think these jba's are better constructed. they look better and feel better.

also the kit comes with everything nuts bolts gaskets. the togs dont come with nothing but the donut flanges and nuts that correspond to them.

the ticking resonance that the togs make near the cats on the drivers side personally is disgusting.

if i known i would of never bought them. plus i have a corsa i personally think they are a waste of money.

the throttle is decent however nothing to jump over.

i think these jbas will give a much better response with a 5.3 motor then the togs or full length headers.

when i get them installed i will give you the heads up.

also i am replacing the AEM with a volant with air scoop because all these loud components together is too much.

i have to queit down the beast to make room for the magnacharger radix....noise resonance wise.

The ticking noise you mention Jonboy sounds like an exhaust leak at the mounting flange/cylinder head connection. Retorqueing the header blots should fix this and needs to be done after the headers have undergone a few heat-up/cool down cycles.
