Fog Light Problem

I replaced my stock fogs with the Silver Stars last week and they were working great. However when I turned themm on yesterday neither light was working. I checked and changed the fuse, I checked to make sure the bulbs were not burned out and they were not. The indicator light on the dash switch comes on as normal. Could this be a relay problem???
Thanks for any suggestions...
Dave

Dave, I'd suggest reverting back to your stock bulbs and see if they light. I have no knowledge of "resistors" and "diodes" and such, and therefor limit any changes I make to retaining the same wattage bulbs. (I believe the Silver Stars are a higher wattage. Right? )

Good luck, and welcome to the club.

Probably nothing you did, caused the problem. I have a passenger side daytime running lamp that won't come on, (with new bulb / lamp). I will let the dealer figure out my situation. Fuse o.k. in mine, too. 2003 1500 :E:

Do you have a voltmeter?
If so, turn the fog lights on, and verify you have around 12VDC at the connector plug for either fog light bulb... If you have voltage at the connector/plug then measure the resistance of the bulb (removed)... Can't see both gone, unless your fingers were touching the bulb during installation.

The silverstar fog bulbs are either 27 watt (881ST) or 38 watt (893ST). I am currently running the 885 bulbs which are 55 watts. no issues. I will be going to 893ST bulbs when I figure out a local vendor that can order them...

Also, if the fuse is okay, verify the fog relay is sitting correctly in the socket..
