2nd Cruise-In ?~ ?more AVs ?~ ?more friends ?~ ?more fun

The first was a blast. ?So much so that there was a call for a follow up Cruise-In. ?As the weather only gets better and better thtough the summer the number of cars, trucks, and pro-streets cruise-in
Nothing beats (ok few things beat) a nice evening out in the cool air, gathering aound a bunch of friends, eating, and chatting about whatever as you walk around checking out each other's AVs and the latest mods.

What if we could mix in a free informal "car show" hosted by the Mustang Wranglers of Oregon, including vintage to new corvettes, classic mustangs, a GTO or two, maybe even a '38 Plymouth or restored M715 Kiaser?

What: Friday Cruise-In GTG

Meet Date and Time: Friday, June 27th, 2003 at 7:00 pm

Meet Location: Aloha Dairy Queen just off in Farmington Road in Aloha, Oregon ?97007

Meet Activities: Friday evening, people start pulling into the parking lot just behind the Aloha Dairy Queen, out Farmington Road from Beaverton. ?All types of classic cars and trucks pull in to show off their rides and shoot the breeze. There are a handfull of restaurants around so making this a Friday night date is very doable.

Hey Intimidator:
I certainly hope you can make it, with both the old and new Chevy.

"The first Avalanche in Oregon"? That is quite the statement!

Nick,

The statement is based on the fact that it's true. My wife's cousin owned the Chevy Dealership in Ontario Oregon and placed the order the first day that you could. Then they were notified by the factory when it was on it's way. It was a kick driving through the larger dealerships like Suburban, Ron Tonkin, Wentworth and Wilsonville at a time when they did not even know when they would be receiving their first one. We are still trying to figure out what production number it was.

Took delivery June 1, 2001.

Hope to see you in Aloha.

This was my first thread move. I thnk I lost one somewhere... sorry. I will get better at keeping these things together though.

Look's like we are going to be even bigger showing this time.

The AV tent arrived last night. I will bring it along so a demo. I haven't put it up and was hopeing to talk Lance into giving me some pointers.

Regretfully, it doesn't look like I'll be making it tomorrow. I had been looking forward to this all week. Out of no where, basic allergies turned into a full-fledged head cold. I am pretty sore as well--too sore to feel like driving an hour each way.

Really bummed; was hoping to see AvaLance and all the Portland gang again.

On a positive note, our truck rolled over 15000 miles today!

Brendan

Hey... get better,

Take two and IM me in the morning ;)

You take care!... If you don't make it tomorrow we'll see you next time! (y)

Hope you get well soon BRMiller ahh 15K miles those were the good days I just turned 54,460 today  Well folks my AV is clean I have some new mods and I will be there ;D

Hey folks just got home had a great time seeing others mods ect.. so lets see those pics (sorry forgot my camra)

It was another great quick GTG. I was glad to get a chance to see everyone and all the new mods.

We even had two new mods invented at the GTG! or at least fine tuning... (photos to follow).

The amount of other custom and cherished vehicles had doubled from last week. Each week, with good weather, the numbers keep climbing and climbing and climbing... up to the Mid Summer's Dream Cruise on Saturday, Aug 16th. Look for the upcoming GTG thread!

I was going to come but our meetings got done early so I took a flight out Friday morning.

I did get to goto Cannon beach, what a place! I saw about 10 AV's there..

Catch you guys next time.

Those are some great shots. Thanks for posting them.

(note to self ~ get a digital camera).

The guy who owns/runs the gas station in the background is an AV owner, too! :D He came down to talk with us fpr a while. I think Dan introduced him to the club while up filling up one of thier AVs.
