Front Calipers Sticking

When I did my brake job for the first time at 105,000 miles I had to literally use a 20lb sledge hammer and hit the rotor to loosen them. they were like welded to hubs in front and the axle flange in the rear.

I learned to put some high temp grease(Anti-Seize) on the faces so I could take them off in the future.

I got the truck with 80k on it. It now has 180k. I've never replaced the rear rotors. They're a mess. But they're not welded to the hubs. I did our 150k-mile BMW last week and had to use a torch to free it from the hub/axle. But the Avy rotors are free but they're hung up on the parking brake shoes.

My brother says there's an adjustment wheel like the old school drums that I can back off. I don't see that in the manual though. I do see where you can release the cable tension at the pedal.

Worst case is I'll use those threaded bolt holes to tear the rotors off (and the parking brake shoes). They press against the axle flange. I found a couple of bolts the right size.

OK I lucked out and found this

The bolts in the drum worked perfectly.

The parking brake shoes are shot, and I have new ones, but the adjusters are seized. I can't adjust them in so I can get the new rotor/drum on. It's so rusty I can't tell how they're attached. Are they replaceable?

I took my shoes out and well I have no parking brake as all they do is cause more issues then they are worth.

In the entire time that I own mine I have never used mine either but I don't have a state yearly inspection

That's exactly what I'm doing. Not worth messing with!

Okay - all done! The truck hasn't stopped so quickly and smoothly in many years. I don't need no steeenking parking brake.

Will a cross-threaded lug come out of the rear axle without having to remove the axle? Asking for a friend...
