When replacing the front door speakers is it better to go ahead and replace with a component system or go without the tweeter since it is mounted so low. I had always heard this was not an effective mounting location. Any sugestions?

Powered with 2 Alpine amps, md-500 for the sub and an md-400 for the doors. (md-500 is 500x1 digital and the md-400 is 400x4 basically 100 watt per channel digital) should be a great setup once finished
I believe ya bro!! If I could afford to send my truck out and have an audio system installed professionally, it would have been done!!enkeiavalanche said:Yak just wait till Bonedog and I get up there. We will ROCK Canada..We'll show you what JL can do...![]()

The only ones that do, are still components, but they have an axis mount option. Lets look at Boston. Thay don't make a pro series or z series coax. Thats because the construction of the midbass and tweeters included in these 2-way sets is far superior to any coax they produce. Jl audio makes zx and xr 2-way sets. Again, they have nothing in common with their lower line of vr coaxs. If you think that you can give me an example of a company where this is not true, let me know.
