Front End seeming loose?

So, I'm out and driving around, and there seems to be alot of play in the front end of my car.
After abit of driving, I apply the brakes while I'm turning slightly to the right, and the wheel jerks a bit to the left. After driving around a bit, it does it, except to the right ( I happen to be turning to the left at this point ). It only does this occasionally.

Sometimes the steering itself feels rather looser then normal, not sure how to define it otherwise.

And, occasionally, while in 2WD, one of the wheels seems to "slip" like I crossed a dirt patch or something, however the road is normally clear.

Lets see, on the right hand side, I occasionally hear a low clunk, it just seems to be rather random when this occurs.

I have not taken my vehicle off road, and I am thinking of doing so, however I want to know if these are normal things, or if I should have the dealer look at it.

Thanks, all opinions welcome :)

Other then the front end, my Av is doing GREAT ( Figure I might as well mention it :) )

I`m not sure but I remember reading somewhere on this site about loose mounting bolts for upper control arm ??? ??? I could be wrong..or wrong model year.....also have you checked your air pressure in your tires as this may be an issue.Doesnt Midas or mienke
<sp> offer free alignent checks??? Also check idler arm(connected to steering box to steering linkage) for looseness or excessive play.
If you feel unsafe driving it take to dealer RIGHT AWAY....dont risk your life.
HTH tell us what you find

Yeah, I'm going to pop it into the dealership on Sunday. I'm not overly worried about it being a safety hazard at the moment, if I did, I wouldn't be asking :).

Also ask about greasing your steering intermediate shaft. These AV's seem to lack enough grease from the factory. There is a service bulletin out about this.

ZedHead12 is right. i had the hardware on my upper control arm left loose after having an alignment done. i suffered from the same symptoms you seem to be suffereing from. pulling when brakes were applied, as well as clunking when applying brakes.
to check the condition of the sterring/ suspension hardware you can have someone move the steering wheel from left to right at varying speeds while you monitor inside the wheel well closely. pay close attention to see if the control arm/ control arm bolts move. and for anything else that does not look/ sound right. good luck.

Have you checked the front ball joints. They will make a clunking noise when hitting the brakes and make the steering feel loose!
