The lower attachment hole for the fuel neck filler has rusted out and the fuel neck is loose. I can still use it but would like to find a solution to get it hooked back up again. I have found a replacement (see below) but since the hole on the body tab has rusted out, there's nothing to bolt this unit on to. I really don't want to try welding! Any suggestions from others who have had the same issues?

The part you show to replace is the filler neck that is behind the part that bolts to the body which is called the "Fuel Pocket". I think that is what you need to replace unless I'm not seeing the full extent of the rust. You will have to drill extra holes in the body where there is good metal. Just be sure to clean the old rust off and paint it to prevent further deterioration..

Thanks - I will order that fuel pocket. The problem I think I have is that the upper two of the attachment bolt tabs that hold it to the body are OK but the lower tab has rusted and is gone. It would be right about where the raised part of the fuel cap is pointing downward. Hopefully I can add new holes where there is solid metal.

Thanks again!
