Who is interested in taking the trip to Gatlinburg before the cruise on Friday evening? The trip will be anytime in the morning through the time we get ready to go cruising. For those that don't want to cruise, they can spend as little or as much time in Gatlinburg as they would like!

I've already heard that some plan on going to No-Way-Jose's to "sample" their margaritas  >:D , but there is a lot more to go in Gatlinburg than just that.

There are tons of stores to shop in.      http://www.downtowngatlinburg.com

Ripleys Aquarium of the Smokies     https://www.ripleyaquariums.com/gatlinburg/

Hollywood Star Cars Museum      http://www.starcarstn.com

This is only a small list of things to do.

Parking can be a bit scarce at times, but I always park in the garage behind the aquarium and it has never been full. It is only a block from the main street, and fairly cheap by the hour. Our friends in tall Av's need to be mindful of the 6ft 8in height limit, however!

We will be parking at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center, just outside of town and riding the Trolley into town to avoid the parking issues!

1011 Banner Rd. Gatlinburg, TN 37738

Discuss the trip amongst yourselves for those that would like to go! We don't have to plan everything down to the last second, but I know there are some that will want to visit Gatlinburg over the course of the weekend!

We will be departing the hotel at 10:00AM instead of 9:00AM

If anybody prefers steak over Mexican, The Peddler Steakhouse is amazing.

Looks like we will likely be in Tennessee on Thursday and leaving on Tuesday... Will be visiting with GF's Mother but otherwise will be open to just about anything.. What will be the prefered method of communications? The digital radio stuff we talked about earlier? Might grab one and just leave it on so we can try to figure out this stuff.

At any GTG I've been too, typically we've communicated through the FRS Radios. Text message isn't a bad method either. I can give you my cell number if you'd like. We typically have used the radios just to keep in touch on the cruises and what not, to keep each other entertained  >:D

Cell service isn't great in some areas. A couple of dead spots between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and if you travel in the park, there's practically no service there either.

I want to go back to the Pepper Palace in Gatlinburg. It has been years since I have been there.

Yes!

The post above has been updated with new information!

Would anyone not gong to Gatlinburg, but on the cruise, like to volunteer to lead the group from the hotel to the welcome center? I will be on the Gaylinburg trip and will be leaving from the welcome center.
