GM BrUSH GUARD rusting

Was Zainoing my truck today and noticed that the chrome on my bushguard has a whole lot of rust splotches coming through the chrome. Should I expect this considering it is only five months old. It seems to be little blisters of rust that can't be removed by rubbing.

ANy Ideas?

Thanks

I have owned my GM Brush Guard for about the same amount of time and I have NO rust. I would take it back to the dealer.

FRTOTT-

Had exact same problem. Rust after only 4 months. Took back to dealer last week. After speaking with the Service Manager the dealership replaced it under warranty. Now we shall see how this new one holds up. Very dissapointed with the last one. But love the looks of it on my AV.

Let me know what you decide to do, Jason

I would without hesitation take it back to the dealer - I would also advise everyone with new chrome accessories to clean and wax them as soon as you get them and keep them clean and waxed or polished as this will keep them looking good for a long time. Protect your investment by keeping it well cared for ;)

Thanks for the input will go see them in the morning. I polish and wax all my chrome religiously. I don't know but it was blistering and not just surface rust. Mind you my city gets the worst of winters and worst of summers gotta love it...
