I was power washing my truck the other day and it peeled a HUGE piece of chrome off of it. Do these things have any kind of warranty? I installed it myself but the truck is still under warranty...would this be covered under the main truck warranty?

I installed it a little over a year ago.

Thanks,
JRider

...my understanding ( and I don't know if this applies outside of Canada or not, sorry) is that ANYTHING that is added TO your vehicle AT PURCHASE (and is GM approved ie. bought from the GM ACCESSORIES catalog) , and APPLIED by the DEALER, is covered under the same 3-year warranty as the vehicle.

YOur local GM dealer (or email GM at the website) should be able to give you more info! (y)

That has to be a manufacturers defect. a jet of water is NOT supposed to be able to strip off electroplated metals. They are molecularly bonded for cripes sake! I would think that it would be unreasonable to expect the crope to strip off as part of wear and tear. Chip YES, strip off No! It tends to indicate the metal did not receive a good metal prep before bonding. GO GET EM!!!
