This is my second post and I would like to thank the club for all the information I obtained through the various postings. Wanted to share additional information on GM incentives that isn?t posted at GM?s site and my dealer didn?t know about until I had them verify by calling GM. If you are using the Avalanche for business purposes and have a valid business license you can qualify for the business choice incentive. I would encourage you to call GM to go over the details. I chose the option for a $500 gift card from Lowes.

The information posted on GM?s web site doesn?t list the Avalanche as a qualified vehicle but it currently is. You can find the info at http://www.chevrolet.com/silverado/commercial.htm Click GM fleet tools, and a prompt screen will come up, on the right side of the screen their will be an icon for latest incentives, scroll down to ?Business Choice? and it will go over the different plans available. If you would like to call GM, I used this # 1-800-353-3867 to quantify the availability of the Avalanche for this program. While in the dealership (Las Vegas, NV) they didn?t believe me and had their fleet manager call GM for himself. To his surprise the avalanche was eligible. Just thought I could share some of my experience to help any prospective buyer save money. I hate to waste it especially when it?s available in the form of an incentive and the sales people don?t even know about it.

If there are any questions please feel free to drop me a line.

Does anybody know if you can go back to collect this after the sale is complete? I've owned mine about 2 weeks. I was familiar with GM's Fit for proffit because we get it on our van fleet, but didn't know there was anything for the AV. Thanks for the info.

I purchased mine on 12/30/2003 and at the time of purchase I knew nothing about the rebate. Based on reading this post by SWPPP66 yesterday, I called my dealer today and told him he stiffed me out of a rebate. He said he'd check into it and 6 hours later he called me back and said he had a $500.00 Lowes card waiting for me and that they would take it up with GM. According to the rebate center, the rebate on Avalanche was good for purchases made through 12/31/2003 and is not now in effect. Many thanks SWPPP66 for the tip. ;D ;D ;D

Hello all,

The here is the way GM explained it to me. As long as the purchase date on the contract was within the time period of the promotion they will honor the incentive. I purchased my Avalanche on 1/1/04 and the paper work for this incentive was completed by the dealership threeo days ago. As I understood it the promotion was good until 1/15/04.

Regards,

Does anyone have any info on this promotion from back in July of 03'? (I'm guessing there was a program in effect at that time, I would like to know the specifics so I can claim my rebate. I have a business and use my Avy.). Any thoughts, anyone in the GM know?

i cant concieve that GM would give you anything if youve already bought the truck.

im pretty sure thats why they dub it an 'incentive'.

i guess maybe a dealer would give it to you if you were friends with them (but doubtful as well IMO.)

heck i could be wrong and usually am but im putting all of my money on not being able to collect incentives after the sale.
