Guys, I am bringing home my 2007 LTZ in two weeks.  I was thinking of ordering a "cat back" exhaust system from GM performance(made by Corsa) but a few people have told me to save some $$$$$$$ and just add a different muffler.  Am I gaining anything by adding the whole system or should a guy just get the muffler changed out?  :E:

Hi vegas1500,
I have the Corsa sport system and love it!
I went with it since I knew I was going to keep my AV for a very long time and I wanted the stainless steel system with a lifetime warranty not just for the muffler but the pipes and tips too. It was a very easy install of about 25minutes at a muffler shop and they only charged about $50 to install.
I would say the decision has to be yours, you will save money if you just do the muffler and get something like a Flowmaster and maybe some fancy tip if you like. That may require more labor to install and it usually is not a lifetime warranty. So if you are comfortable with your capabilities or those of your local muffler shop then you can save money.
You would not be disappointed with the quality or sound with no resonance from a Corsa setup though.

It seems to go back and forth here as to who make the GMPP exhaust.? Some say Borla, others say Corsa.? Don't know if I've heard anything definitive or how you would know...? ????? ?I've got a GMPP Performance (vs Touring) exhaust, like it, but can say who's it really is.? Muffler and tip are stamped GMPP.

Charlie, a buddy of mine works for GM and he told me the exhaust is Corsa.  Also, the GM exhaust comes in "sport" or "touring", the same as on Corsa's website.  Just wondering if you guys think the "sport" is to loud!!!! :bling:

The Corsa Sport has a throaty sound at start-up and when you stomp the accelerator. At cruising speed it is very mellow and you can have a conversation in the cab or listen to the radio at normal levels. There is no drone or resonance in the cab.
The Corsa rep told me the Touring model is more for an Escalade or some person who wants it quiet as stock yet still have some performance too.

I wonder what I have...what came stock on the 6.0L?

Who really makes the GM Performance Exhaust?????? The parts department at my dealership says it is now made by GM.? Is this true or not??

I can get the GM Performance Exhaust with the angle cut dual layer tips including installation for about $600.

Anyone have a sound clip of the GM Performance or Sport Exhausts??  or can someone record a few sound clips? Inside the cab at highway, ect.............?
