I am looking for the instructions for the GM grille guard. I just bought my 04 with the guard and didn't get the instructions. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

do you still have these instructions?
in the CAFCNA Album here:
http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=2

PDFs I scanned in

Other pages are other languages so I did not scan.
You will need 2 people bimetal hole saw for a Door knob works for cutting hole...
Patience and someone with skinny arms to reach up in there to put top bolts..

if you plan on putting lights on guard do that prior to installing as acess to back of it is limited after install...  See Mod light section for some threads

check some older threads for tips other have for installing

Does the hole saw part only cut through cladding (or does it need to be a metal purpose holesaw) i looked up last night and about where it says to drill i assume there is just a bolt that will come back into the bar through the metal support behind cladding?

says drill through plastic and let pilot go into impact bar (steel behind)
then enlarge pilot hole to w/ 1/2" drill bit.

bolt comes through back side of this into brush guard to pull brush guard top into bumper

great thats what i thought it was a little faint due to crappy printer...and wanted to make sure as i do have a hole saw but didnt thing the saw part would do real well steel (y)

well i tackled the install of my OEM grill guard last night (Thank god i had another set of hands) turns out my 02 had taken a little bump to the front end drilled into bumper with hole saw on left went perfect cut out plastic and hit bumper support , went to other side and went through plastic and no support...ahhhhhhhh  :E: anyways long story short got it bent back in place got it mounted a few knuckles skinned  :9: and a few made up words its on looks great. Thanks for the instruction they helped alot. (y)
