I'm just plain ol' sick of looking at all of these '02 and '03 Avs and noth finding JUST what I am looking for. I understand that the Av rebate has gone to $4500? If I could get one of these Certs. I might be able to shop for a new one.

Just find out that I owe $2000 on my pickup than I thought I did too...just like finding money! ;D

I did read that thread earlier but it doesn'r really help out much if you don't know anyone that has one of the GM Certificates. I have seen other post on here where people say that they have gotten cheaper prices NOT using them.

I have been to Edmunds.com and tried to check invioce prices there but find all of the package deals and the way that you have to choice options VERY confusing. Am I the only one that finds it hard to build your own Av on that sight. If any of you folk are good at using that, I could use some help with it so as to be better prepared when dealing with the salesman.

I had the same issues with Edmunds so I went to Kelly Blue Book, kbb.com. Even there, sometimes thought I was paying for options individually that were also included in packages until I hit the Printable view fomat when I was finished. For me, kbb.com was easier than Edmunds.

I believe I read where the new GM In The Driveway "certificates" were not actually certificates but Authorization numbers received after providing birthdate and last 4 digits of SS number to someone able to retrieve these "certificates" from GM. They are valid until 12/31/04 if I read the earlier posted info correctly.

BTW, according to the Chevrolet website, the extra $1,000 rebate is actually a bonus rebate that can be used with or without the 0% financing through GMAC whereas the $3,500 is not available with the low financing rates of 0% - 2.9%.

Sorry. :-[ The current GM in the Driveway certificates expired on March 31st.

The program was extended with some changes and will expire on Dec. 31, 2004.

I still need a Gm in the Driveway Certificate if anyone out there would be so kind as to share an extra one. I was shopping again today and was not able to buy yet because I did not have one and the saleman even said too bad because we might have gotten together on a price if I did have one.

Thanks, Rdrunr

What does the certificate do for you? I'm actually thinking about upgrading since the rebate is now up to $4500.00. If there's anyone that has an extra one, please let me know and what it will do for me. Thanks!! :B:

Where did you see that the program was extended? The wife works for GM and no one at her work knew that it was extended.
Thanks.

I currently have a 2002 Avalanche and am planning on a 2004 Avalanche. I would appreciate it if anyone who has an extra certificate they won't be using getting in contact with me. Or, if anyone has information on getting a current "GM in the Driveway Certificate", that they would contact me.
Thanks and Happy Avalanching!
Terry
