I've got a question and a comment. When I bought my AV approximately 6 weeks ago, the salesman, manager, and finance guy all continuously asked me to make sure that I filled out the questionaire from Chevy as completely satisfied and bring it in to them. What incentatives, etc., does the dealership get for this? Since they didn't do everything that the survey asks, I'd like to use this as a bargaining chip to ask for a heavy discount on some chrome step bars. I know this sounds kinda crumby, but I honestly believe they could've cut me a better deal and I'll use any leverage available to catch a break on the back end.

BTW, I've been survied 3 times since purchasing the AV. I can't recall anyone ever being this interested in anything else I've ever purchased. The first was a phone survey from the assembly plant, the second from GM and the last one was from J.D. Powers & assoc. I"m pretty impressed with the interest they've shown.

I hate those surveys. I get them everytime I drop the cars off for work, etc. Each time the salesperson/serviceperson always reminds me to mark everything as perfect. I asked them what good is the survey if we can't be honest? They say it helps get them awards, cheaper prices, etc.

I got one of those not to long ago...just filled it out and I believe I mailed it back.....I'm not to big on those things..I wonder if they even read them or toss them in someone's cubicle where they collect dust....

Hello All,
Survey? What survey? I was standing outside the dealership when I really got tired of waiting for my Av. ??? So, I went out to find it. There it was in the detailer's stall. ;D As I was inspecting my Av,I was told that it had been damaged the day before during P&I (dealer prep). :8: I received a written statement that the damage would be repaired. :6:
I then waited for the girl to finish drying it and loaded up the family and drove away. The dealership didn't volunteer to explain the vehicle and I didn't ask. I can't complain too much though. The fuel gauge was almost at the full mark.

Fill out the survey as 'completely satisfied' and bring it to the dealer ??? REALLY! sort of short circuits the independent survey idea! I might complain to GM - your dealer sounds slimy indeed! But I wouldn't much blame you if you used it as leverage for a set of nerf bars!

My dealer wasn't perfect, but did pretty well. I filled out the surveys honestly and mailed them in as requested!

Hehehe. I received my survey this past Saturday. I was very truthful. >:D
Oh well, maybe if everyone is truthful on these things it might encourage dealers to improve....
Or not!

MY dealer sort of did the same thing, but in a positive way. ;)

They showed me the survey I would receive and said if there was ANY question I could not truthfully answer 'perfect' (or whatever) let them know right then and they would fix it on the spot. Hard to complain about that.

I was lead to believe that every person who bought an AV was get a survey.... my dealer mentioned this many times.

Well after months of waiting, I was talking to GM on another issue and asked when I would get my survey. I was told that it is random, but they could do a quick phone survey if I wanted.

I am not sure who to believe.... my dealer wasn't perfect... but they did sell me my AV at $750 over their invoice. Who am I to complain :)
