GM900 Calipers and Rotors on 2004

I think I can all admit that the stock brake set up on the 2004 seem a bit lacking especially while towing. Since I will be needing to do my brakes soon I'm thinking about upgrading the calipers, pads and rotors to the GM900 found in the 07's. From what I am finding is that the stopping power is night and day. Just want to hear from anyone who has done it and noticed a difference and is there anything else I need besides calipers, pads and rotors.

What size wheels do you have? I think you need 17" or larger to clear the new rotors.

Finally I have accumulated all the parts to convert my 04 Z66 to GMT900 front brake's :B: the 07 and up GM trucks use a 13 inch rotor and a larger caliper, the older trucks use a 12 inch rotor. Its a very simple mod and the results are AMAZING! Everything is direct bolt on with no modification...

Not yet. Had to blow the budget plus more on tires for my wife's car...$900 . But I will definitely update this post once it's done with results.

Copy Boogie327. I just completed my brake job. Will be time to do so again in 40K. I will definitely make the upgrade by then.

If you want an upgrade, invest in a Stoptech brake system. I need to do this too.
