GMC Moldings On An Avalanche

smigdiggler, Yea, the truck is lower I purchased the rear springs from www.4wheelparts.com in Houston Tx. I got the 2" drop from belltech and I took the truck to have the front lowered and front alignmet the truck was lowered 1.5" front and 3" rear no problem. When I purchase my spring I oredered them and I ask them If they can be delivered to my house He said there was no problem, and I install them my self no problem.

Rollie66,

Trying for a better pic, forgive me, I'm finding out how crappy the pics are from my vintage Polariod PDC!! Either that or how crappy I am at taking them

Actually the wife bought them for me as a surprise (She's a keeper..) ! $325.00 from a local - "Streetwise" (he made a goof on some Westins so he made good on these with her cause he said he really didn't want me upset with him) : ;D
I can check with him tommorrow if he can work something unless you can find them about the same or better ? Manik # is 168054TSP (Side Steps 02 Chevy AV 3" Tube stpes Stainless Steel
Again sorry the poor quality of the pics
Guess I'm buying (HER) a new camera :0:

Dam that's one good-looking Av! ;) Could be twins, I just put the Ventvisors on mine last weekend. (y)

Glad you posted this. I was about to ask if anyone had done this.

I do have a question. The Sierra comes in several models - extended cab and the 2500HD series that looks to have the same size rear doors as the AV.

Are there different rear lengths of the rear molding and which one did you purchase?

Would also be interested in the steps you took to put them on.

They look great! Thanks.

txyank1,
The Pewter Metallic does look good ! !

Put on Vent visors and bug deflector then dropped the Tornado in. ;D
Just put the steps on this last week, now I'mm waiting for the Chrome door molding and the splash guards.

Have to work the headrest mod and the maglite mount in here soon. ( By the way are these all counted as mods) ;D ;D

You and doudg will have to give some of us newbies lesson on the quote blocks. I sometimes get WE TODD DID when using the puter...

Nothing to it. Look at the upper right of each post. See the little "Quote" icon? Just click it and away you go. You'll have a reply box opened up with the quote already set. You can remove parts of the item, as I did in yours, if you want to. Just don't mess with the brackets.

Otay... I'm moving up in the world Thanks

The GMC Sierra Crew Cab has the same door as the Avalanche. Therefore, its moldings will fit the same. The part number for the front door molding is 157744371 ($27.57 each). The molding part number for the rear door is 15200596 ($36.00 each). I just bought some, they fit just like a Sierra Crew Cab. You can order them at GMpartsdirect.com. With shipping, a set of 4 will cost $152.57. I think chrome looks awesome with my LPM Avalanche.

We have a conflict with #'s for the rear. One is off a pickup 15744377 and the other a crew cab. 15200596
Does anyone know the difference. We have pics of the first set.

Went to GMC website. The crew cab moldings on the rear go edge to edge.

You are right. The 15200596 is designed for a door that's the same as the Avalanche. The 15744377 is designed to go on the bed of a Sierra extended cab. That's why it is several inches shorter than a Crew Cab rear door molding. I was at the local GMC dealer and he pulled both parts up on the computer for viewing. The 15744377 is not the correct rear door molding. But, if someone wants to use it, it's their choice.

I dunno if it's too late... but the crew cab would be what you would get.

You might also want to consider if you want the '03 Sierra moldings (which over only the doors) or the '02 (which extend all the way back past the wheelwell to the bumper).
