In a couple of hours I will be on my way to pick up my new Z71 Silver/Birch. I'll be sad to see my 99 Tahoe go..It only has 26k on it. Last of the old body style.
I only went to the dealer Saturday afternoon, "just to look". It was ready for me yesterday. I figured Id look for a good message board ahead of time, and stumbled across this one.
I found out that the dealer was wrong; he told me that the tailgate has a power lock. :(
Oh well, I guess I know of one of my first mods ;).
I'll post the pics tomorrow. Glad to have found what so far looks like a great Avalanche site.

I got the grey or charcoal interior. Yea, its fully loaded Sunroof, sattelite radio, folding mirrors, adjustable pedals, easy exit seat, dual climate controls, 2 memory settings, heated seats, 6 disk in the dash CD changer, and the Z71 package.
The only thing I chose not to get was the video screen, only because I have two portable players, so when my son is old enough he will have his own personal player, and I heard, weather its true or not that people are looking especially for vehicles in my area with entertainment systems, and pulling them out. Who knows if its true.
This saturday I get this

installed. I had one in my Tahoe, highly recommended. I start my truck up from inside the mall. If it snows all night, I have it start every 3 hours run for 30 mins, and shut off. By the time I get up and go out to work, there is no snow on any of my glass. Just get in and drive. ;) The only thing better is a garage.
