FYI

I'm not really sure where to post this, but there is a killer wheel package deal at www.dragonwheels.com for Polo wheels. I bought a set of Polo Hydro 20x9 w/tires Goodyear GT II 275/50/20 for my wifes Durango for 1500 bucks. Thats pretty cheap for new 20's with tires, shipped, and lugs/locks included.

I have asked this question on another thread in this board but so far no takers.

I am out of touch with the wheel market and prices in the States.
I am being told that I can pick up a set of 20" new in boxes chrome wheels for $800.00. No rubber.
Is that a good price these days? That is way WAY less than I paid for my wheels but that was 18 months ago when 20 inch wheels were considered huge, now they are thought of as downright bland ???

I keep looking at 20's but I haven't found many styles that I like. Some of them are just too BLING for me, including the Polo's. I think I like the GIOVANNI ANZIO, but they are $2400 a set w/tires. :(

I wouldn't base my choice on price, but quality
there are many different companies and prices and a cheaper set, may be cheaper quality

LUV
I went with the Goodyear Fortera's
285x50x20
more aggressive than the eagles, but still and unbelievable ride

Sparky.
Not a name I have heard of???

Maybe a private/sister label of an another company??

I would be more concerned with load capacity
a quality wheel will stay over 2200lbs ea

Super Swamper is making a few different models(IROK & TRXUS) of off-road tires for 20" rims, they range in size from a 36"-49" and are fairly priced considering how big they are.

hope this helps.

Polo wheels have very good quality, tripple chrome dipped, with a manufacutures guarantee. Supposably, the price is low for that particular company for an introductory promotion for the new line that dragonwheels picked out. And after pricing around and saving more than 1000 bucks for rims and tires is a pretty good deal. For my truck, I paid 2500 for Niche Flash 20's and tires that are priced at different companies for 650 a wheel not including tires, at that price, the rims alone are more than i paid for the package and shipping. I'm a happy camper.

Please excuse me, I've had a bad day  But I'm trying to make sure I understand your note correctly. So Polo wheel is the maker? Who is dragonwheels? So you saved a 1000 when you paid 2500, meaning that the same items were about 3500 elsewhere? Sorry if I am just being thick, just having a hard time understanding :2:

Yes, Polo wheels is the manufacuring company, dragon wheels is the 3rd party company selling the wheels http://dragonwheels.com/new_wheels.htm I saved 1000 on the Polo wheels for my wife, and elsewhere they were being sold for around 2500 with tires (I paid 1550). And for my Niches, I bought them from another company that screwed up my purchase for some Bazo B22's, so instead of hasseling with them, they gave me the Niches for the same price. I was just saying that if you can be patient in buying wheels, you probably will come across some very good deals. There was another company that was going to sell me some Giovanna wheels (can't remember which ones) for my wifes Durango, and custom fit the rims with her bolt pattern (because the Durango has a small bolt pattern, 6x4.5 and limited manufacturers fit it) for 2200 shipped with tires. Discount Tire is great because it is local, but for prices for the higher end wheels, they can't even come close to touching the prices I paid. ;)
