Hi all,
I just got my Av a couple weeks ago and joined the club last week.

The truck is amazing, I just gave it it's first wash today and the back window didn't leak at all (I've been a little nervous about this after reading some of the other threads). There was a little moisture around the midgate seal but I may not have sealed everything good enough. I must have converted it a hundred times already, everyone who sees it wants me to show them how it works. Something for me to watch anyway.

I've been absorbing all of the mod information you guys have been posting but I still don't even know what your talking about half the time. I'm hoping to try them all eventually but right now isn't the best time. I saw the Av in a magazine add one night and the next morning I decided I needed one or I would die ;D. My wife was a little shocked considering I just got a Xterra 2WD (yeah, I know) less than a year ago but she didn't put up too much of a fight so needless to say I had one by the end of the day. My main argument to her was that I needed a real truck and boy did I get one!

I don't think I going to be allowed to purchase anything for a while which is fine since I obviously need to learn a lot more first but I'll start sneaking in some performance mods in a while and work on beefing up the apperance later when the danger level dies down >:D. Don't get me wrong my wife's the best, I just have a tendancy to do things like this.

I'm hoping to take it off road tomorrw for the first time (which is why I need to wash it today of course) so I'll let you know how that went if I make it.

Didn't mean to ramble one like this but I'm sitting at my computer staring at the beast in the driveway through the window so who can blame me? ;D

Thanks for this site all the great info it's already been a great help.

Later, I'm off to watch the Laker, Sacramento game, should be a great series, hey! maybe I'll get a TV and satilite system for the Av so I can watch it in there, I'll ask my wife when she gets home ;D

Welcome MTB Joe. I hope u enjoy everything about ur new wheels, as 4 me I was @ the Chevy dealers again today asking if they had the new pricing on the 2003, as I don't even own 1 yet. But I know more than any salesman from reading this site. I want 1 soo bad and was going to try to wait till 2003 come in but my dealer was telling me about the insentives on the 2002 and I dont think I will last. My wife too is whinning about me buying a new truck because she would be happy spending all our money on traveling.......Hope she dosent make me choose her from the truck! I think I might miss her >:D
