After taking the kid out to lunch after his baseball game, I was driving home and pulled next to a Toyota Tercel. Well we were both in turn lanes and the road makes an S curve before straightening out again. I was on his left and when the light turned green we both took off. The only bad thing is, he went straight!!!!!
So after we make contact, we both pull over and get out. I'm looking at the cladding and front bumper.....nothing. Not one mark??? I go look at his car....bug dent just behind the headlight in the fender, along with some big black smears. I go back and look at mine again and darned if he didn't wipe all the tire shine off. So basically nothing to mine and a couple of hundred to his. If I had kept going I might have driven over his hood because the dent and black smudges went all the way to the hood line. :B:

Once again it seems the AV is a safe place to be. Glad to hear damage was minor and nobody hurt. How did the little fellow react to the accident?

Glad to hear you came through it ok.

I had an experience not too long ago kind of like that. I was on I-95 and was passing a semi. He was doing about 75mph, I was doing about 85mph. Just as I start to pull up next to the rig one of his left rear tires blows out and shoots out from under his truck right infront of me.

And of course, I hit it right across the front bumper at 85mph. I thought for sure there would be plastic bumper pieces all over the road. There was a rest area less than two miles up the road so I pulled into there and prepared for the worst.

Got out and looked... looked again, no scratches, no cracks.. lots of black and white marks all over the bumper. I had a thing of bottled water so I went over and grabbed a towel out of the side storage and poured some water on the towel and wiped it right off and it was good as new!

I could just imagine what that would have done to a "normal" car. The guy in the semi couldn't believe it. He stepped out of his truck with his insurance info in his hand. ;D
