Just got done getting my 20" wheels and tires put on.
Man I think they look great, but then again I am slightly biased. ;D

They are Boss Series 307s with GoodYear Eagle LS 275/55-20

See attached pic for a good look.

those are awsome man! they are very similar to the style i got. right on! those are helos right? i think those were on my list right down to the line... but lost.

No BigRed, they're Boss 307s. Although I did look at the Helo brand. I just got such a great deal on these that it was too hard to pass up.

Sparky, I've got some Meguiars chrome wheel polish left over from my previous ride. It seems to work well on the chrome wheels on my 'vette so I guess I'll stay with it for a while anyway. ?

Thanks for the comments/ideas though

Man you are right, they look GREAT! Almost makes me wish I had a job again!

That's why I took my 20" blix off, but I'm not sure I would do it again ??? I miss them too much.
Man, Epic has been making a killing with Av club members

yes, they are 20's! these are the Denali wheels in 20 inch diameter. i should stop talking about them so much. with my luck i will not get them because i am so anxious. :B:

02-Z66, I've seen those advertised on ebay. Was even thinking about getting a set because you can get so many different center caps for them. But this set of Boss wheels just stole my heart. And the price was right on them.

Anyway good luck with whatever you chose. I'm sure they'll look good on the Av. Just about everything does!

oh i was looking at those... mmmm only if they came in 22's... yup thats a nice set of rims you got there!

hey BigRed!, i have a question. do you think the wheel well cladding mod would visually take up some of the space that the 20 inch wheel leaves? i can't afford the 22's right now. so i came up with this idea.
also looks like the guy with those rims i was talking about is not gonna come through for me. so i am flapping in the wind, again. :8:
i am still interested in that wheel though. i will see about getting some at another date. :7:

OK guys need help, how much difference in driving does the 20's make. I love the way my AV rides with the 17" michelin cross terrain.
I have been looking all week. Baton Rouge and Lafayette they are running package deals on Limited wheel (never heard of them) and the goodyear eagle gt 2 tires 275/45/20s for 1799.
these are to short for me so it will be 1900.00 with the 285/50/20's on same wheels............
How much harder is the ride and how bad does it track when hitting ruts and such/ hydroplaning...
I drive in all kinds of weather for work...........HUMMMMMMMM don't know if it will be good for that or just cruisin town...........
thanks for any tips
steve
zeeya ???

I'm running the Eagle LS 275/55s on my 20s and I think the AV actually rides better. It seems to track better in ruts and definitely handles better when cornering. I talked to a couple of friends that work at tire stores and they both said the GDYR Eagle LS was a better tire than the Eagle GT II.

Just my .02 worth

Zeeya, I'll throw in my .02
I don't think there is an issue at 20" Beyond that ??? I think you would need to look at setting the speedo or going with some very thin tires
I am running 20's. I have 295/45/20 Yokohama's. As I've said on other threads, if and when I replace I will go with the 295/50/20 Falkens. They are the best match to stock. They still leave a lot of sidewall. They come in a HP and all season version.
The ride is as good or better IMHO. You corner much better, it's funny on and off ramps can be like sling-shots. That said if the road has pronounced wheel ruts you will notice them more and fight them some just because the tire is so much wider.

i think that would work great... i would just wait till you strap those puppies on to make sure they will clear... you have z-66 right? they sit a little lower so you might want to make sure first. great idea though!

Hi, Are you referring to the flat piece of plastic about 1/2 inch thick that is on the front wheels of the 2500?

and yes, BIGRED, i do have a Z-66. i will wait like you said. i may need the room. or i may not. we'll see after i throw the wheels on. :B:
