:rolleyes:Well, Got my first speeding ticket in the Av today...It was kinda shady...The truck I passed was doing 10 under the speed limit, I pulled out to pass, was passing, and that's when they gunned me...Oh well, I'll take the ticket, but I just wanted to do the speed limit. After he had me sign the ticket, he asked me how I liked my Av, he said he was looking at them...Decided on a GMC extended cab...I am just glad I wasn't on my bike!

Soory to hear about that. You might want to argue that and say the truck was going so slow it was an obstructing the flow of traffic.

Just had a friend that got a ticket for obstructing the flow. Man he was pissed.... I rib him constantly about driving like a old man >:D

Man, that sucks! ?I hate traffic tickets and especially when they involve minor infractions like speeding whilst overtaking (assuming you weren't being silly). ?At the end of the day they can be hard to beat... and maybe not worth the fight. ?Just keep an eye on how your deductible looks after they insurance aompany finds out. ?:cautious:

Belive it or not, in Texas they probably won't find out. Unless you give them some reason to check.....like changing Ins. Companies. They don't have the time or wherewithall to check on policy holders unless, like I say, they have a reason. I made that mistake and it cost me a couple hundred extra for the next few years. I thought the culprits ticket had been longer ago than it was. BTW, the Officer told my Wife he was giving her a "Citation", she says "it was freaking TICKET"!! :8:

A Citation sounds more like an an award. ?"Really, Officer? ?A citation? ?For me? ?Is my driving really *that* good?" ?

The only other citation I can think of is an old Chevy with a funny looking shape to it... and just driving one of those was punishment enough!

Thats a shame, getting a ticket for trying to obey the law! I have yet to get my first one. I have installed a Vortech Turbo muffler and a K&N filter and have ordered my Hypertech Power Programmer III. I have a real hard time keeping my foot out of it now and when I get that programer I just might be in trouble! What the matter with me, I am 56 years old and this Avalanche makes me act like a kid!

That's what all of the MA police I've met call 'tickets'.... "citations".

A written warning is a ticket that doesn't go against you or cost you anything....

A "verbal" is a statement like, "Just keep all your wheels on the ground next time."

Nope...Not being silly...It was a passing zone, nice straight awayu...Just wanted to do the speed limit...Oh well, I hadn't got a ticket in like 6 years...I figured it cost me $.05 a day since my last ticket...
