Got my LED switchbacks finally installed!

After waiting months for a back order I finally received and installed my V-LEDS 6K/amber led switchbacks.
They are mindblowingly bright for a drop in and look great in the daytime or evening.  What I like most is the fact that the white completely shuts off and only flashes amber which makes it way more noticeable in the evening hours especially when you have your headlights on.  After a week of having them installed I had a guy chase me down across a parking lot to ask about my LED setup.... so needless to say somebody is noticing!

Here are the results!

I got them from VLEDS.  And due to the popularity they are on back order yet again...

They will run you $79.99 for the pair.  Extremely pricey but the output and perfect 6K color match to my HIDs makes it completely worth it.
I'm also running their Triton V3 led system in my tail lights and their 6K white LEDs for my DRLs

Your video really turned out nice.  Did you have to use resistors in line or switch to a digital turn signal flasher to avoid a possibility of hyper flash or bulb out issues by switching to an led turn signal bulb?

I'm in the same boat as you, they look cool, but I'm thinking on my 02 withe the blinker on top, it'll look strange.

i think it might look good and that might is what is holding me off on it i might just have to make the plunge and take one for the team

you guys are all late to the game

Now Catch up and Keep up.

Really cool IMHO. The switchback LEDs I got were close to the 6000K color of my HIDs. Uniform look is what I was going for and still having the orange when needed

Since the bulb flash rate is controlled by the BCM you cannot exchange the flasher module for an LED version.  Instead I used an inline 50watt 6 oHm resistor.  They were a snap to install (quite literately!)

Here's a diagram I made to show how it's done in case anybody else is wondering

And for looks just as long as you have HIDs installed for your headlights it will look great with them running white.  For older models you can replace the side marker with a cheap T10 wedge base LED bulb and jump your wires over to your side marker and have them flash in unison with your main signal if you don't want them to wig wag.

Actually you would be correct about not using scotchlocks.  Moisture easily gets in there especially corrosive road salts if you are from a climate that uses them in the winter months.
The exposed wire wicks it up, turns black and corrodes potentially leading to your signals not working (which has happened to me using these).  However my updated method (which is only a step better than using scotchlocks) is using crimp on T-Taps, but it accepts a spade connector in the other end once crimped onto your factory wiring.  After I crimped these on to my factory wiring I coated the inside with a dielectric grease (to repel moisture and other liquids and materials) and then sealed them with hot melt and then some electrical tape and heat shrink at the connector end.  Then I can plug and unplug from the splice tap if I ever need to modify or change out my resistor.  The end result is almost 3 years now without a single problem.

Ideally you want to properly wire splice and soldier any and all connections whenever possible.

Hi I read the instructions as above , did it all BUT. My signals and brake lights are great no more hyperflash with the LED bulbs BUT. When I turn on headlights all 4 LED taillights bulbs come on but now no signals and no brake lights  ?????
Any ideas?  2010 LS
