This was on weekend edition two weekends ago so I missed it - but this is a great story about how General Motors has been reborn and is kicking arse and taking names.

Mentioned in the story several times - the Cadillac Escalade EXT and the Chevrolet Avalanche. They also highlight the big change in GM advertising -- it's good listen - you'll need RealPlayer

Good story . . maybe NPR ain't all that bad ;D

Always thought they sided on the politically correct, tree hugging, bleeding heart liberal side of things . . . didn't think that GM and the Av fit into that mold very well.

The General must have made a generous charitable contribution to NPR. The last time I heard anything concerning motor vehicles on NPR was when some misty eyed wiener was blaming SUV's for everything from global warming to illiteracy in Sri Lanka. A neighbor mentioned the other day that the latest guy in charge of the place was some kind of honcho in the federal governments intelligence community (there is an oxymoron).

I am very happy that Gm is starting to turn things around for the better......for a long time many folks would not buy american because of the "damn thing will only break down on ya" mentality ....hopefully this will mean good things to come... :B:
