Everyone,
We took our trip to San Antonio last week. Phenomenal time. We went camping the first five days at McKinney Falls (south of Austin). We hiked around the falls and my son (9 month old Zack) got to play in the falls. We went to Sea World on Monday, River Walk and Cowboy's Training Camp Tuesday, Schlitterbaun Wednesday. On Thursday we check into the Randolph VOQ and I wend and played golf at the Randolph course. Friday I played golf at Cedar Creek. Saturday, my best friend got married and we came back yesterday.
The AV did not disappoint and I took a lot of pictures. I will post them when I get them developed. It is true about people moving out of the way when you pull up behind them on the highway.
My son clapped for the first time and we were recording him clapping one time when crawled across the bed to get to the camera. It was his first time to crawl for real, no army crawling, and we caught it on tape.
I was amazed at how much stuff I could fit into my AV. Golf clubs, tent, lanterns, fishing gear, two strollers, four pieces of luggage, lawn chairs, a food tub, and some other misc item---all that in the back. Not to mention what was in the tool boxes and the back seat with Zack.
My wife took the AV to get gas on base and a guy came up and asked her if you could carry a lot in the truck. We hadn't moved anything into the room yet, so she showed him everything that we had packed. He was so impressed that he said it made him decide to buy an AV. Another fan. I got compliments from all my college budding, especially when the jumped into to go out the night before the wedding.
Having an AV is awesome.
Later,
Jim
