just wondering if anybody has had any kind of problems with their lowered avy? ive had my kit on for almost a year now. ive got hte drop spindles in front and springs in the rear. i have noticed some sort of noise from the rear of the truck when i drive at low speeds like under 15-20 mph and usualy only hear it when i drive over uneven ground. its like a very light knocking noise or a very light banging like something is hitting somewhere. any ideas from anybody? could something be rubbing? anything helpful is appreciated.

I lowered my rear 2.8 eibach, shock extenders, stock z-66 shocks and it sounds like I got junk in the trunk when I go over bumps

Just installed mine not to long ago and I think everything is fine.  I'm having HD tie rods put in as soon as they get here

I had problems when i lowered mine also. I had to redo the pipes. Now i noticed in the rear something squeeks like old shocks. Im guessing is the springs rubbing dry on the rubber insulators or cups whatever you call it.

McGaughy2/3 drop, tweeked t-bars for a 3/3 drop.  Exhaust needs to be redone and cut off about 1/2 of the front bump stops and minor rubbing in he front while turning (305/40/22's)  but other than that, no problems.  I'm thinking about going lower in the back and waiting to have the exhaust fixed until i decide how much lower I want to go.

My 2/3 drop with spindles didn?t require to mod anything underneath

my exhaust way routed WAY over the axle at stock height.  When lowered, the frame now touches the pipes, nearly crushing them in one area.  Its easily corrected by a good tech with the right tools and experience.

Who? I would like to see them if you have a pic. Also pm me again your address so I can send those chrome rivets to you.
pm sent.  EnduroMTS posted a pic of them on a white Av.  Its just a close up of the wheel.  I posted a pic of mine a month and a half earlier of mine, but its burried in the post somewhere...not added to the list at the beginning of the thread.  I guess they're only adding ones from members that they want to add in the list.

thanks for the good words.  I've finally started trying to keep them clean.  I cleaned them for the first "real" time last week.  Gotta do it again tomorrow...this is gonna be like work having these. :E:

Rims arrived yesterday now just to wait for the rubber so I can get those 305/40/22?s rolling.  Also, received the HD tie rods.  I?ll get those in next week sometime.

TireRack.com  ran me about $1000 after shipping.

Here one for ya?ll

Do you have to cut the bumper stops?  I was told today that I needed to cut the bumper stops because the drop kit as them resting on the frame and that the shocks are really not doing their job.

Thoughts?

You either need to cut them or replace them. My drop kit came with new ones but it you dont do something about them you will " bottom out" easier than before.
