has anybody had problems with their lowered avalanche?

Here one for ya?ll

Do you have to cut the bumper stops?? I was told today that I needed to cut the bumper stops because the drop kit as them resting on the frame and that the shocks are really not doing their job.?

Thoughts?
depending on which kit you get, it may, or may not set on the bump stops. ?I have Eibach 3" drop springs and mine just touched the bump stops. ?If I hit a bump a little harder than I should, I could feel the truck bottom out on the stock bump stop. ?I just cut mine down a little. ?Its not the best way to do it, but it did smooth out the larger bumps a lil. ?Stylin concepts sells a lowered bump stops if you don't feel like cutting the OEM's. ?I'll get them once I get my 5" springs.

You either need to cut them or replace them. My drop kit came with new ones but it you dont do something about them you will " bottom out" easier than before.

I replaced them when I did the drop but with OEM one.  I?ll have to do some trimming then.

Hey, i shaved my bumpstops in half to compensate with the lower drop kit. Also i have the Stylin'Concepts bumpstops but i never put them in. I guess im waiting for a chance to do it.

Had the bumper stops cut today (back and front) along with new shocks in the front.  I have to say, I did notice a big improvement in ride quality.  Nice and smooth again.

Sorry, I've been very busy in school this past semester and This is finals week. I've been preparing and trying to stay on top of class work. With no success in my nursing program then no future mods to Av. Which is not an option. Bare with me, I'll be at 1 or 2 in the future.

just wondering if anybody has had any kind of problems with their lowered avy? ive had my kit on for almost a year now. ive got hte drop spindles in front and springs in the rear. i have noticed some sort of noise from the rear of the truck when i drive at low speeds like under 15-20 mph and usualy only hear it when i drive over uneven ground. its like a very light knocking noise or a very light banging like something is hitting somewhere. any ideas from anybody? could something be rubbing? anything helpful is appreciated.

I just had installed a Maxtrac 2” spindle with -1 strut in front and 4” lowering coils and shock extenders. I know I need an alignment now but when driving home after installing my right front wheel was back furth than my drivers side and tire rubbing while driving? Will alignment fix this or has anyone had this same issue??

Does anybody know if they make c-notches for the side frames as I'm having the same issue after dropping my 2005 Avalanche? I know there's kits for the cross member frame if it hits the differential but mine doesn't. At ride height my axle sits about 2.5 inches below the frame rails. I want to go lower but frames hindering me. 🤔
