Has Anyone Removed On-Star

Has anyony completely removed their On-Star?Any difficulties?What did you fill in the blank openings with?

If you pop the little panel you will see its mostly buttons with some wires. I am sure you can cut the wires, pop the fuse and call that good. I don't know where the box is.

i think you can get a cover plate to cover it up afterwards.

I know they have them. My "old lady's" '01 Tahoe doesn't have onstar but has a blank plate. Perfect place to mount the little "remote" for the Neo MP3 player.... that's what I'm thinking....or maybe the leds for the K40 I plan on installing....

OnStar must come installed from the factory.
