If I put H2 headrests in my AV, the colors of which do NOT match, does anyone know whether the covers from the AV headrests are interchangeable? In other words, can I fix up the color discrepancy by merely switching the covers?

Headrest covers. Interchangeable?

It's a slow and old issue for me. I want articulating/tilting headrests. It's a comfort thing. I've seen alot of h2 headrests for sale. They tilt. Color is wrong. Actually, I haven't found a color match to anything since 02 that tilts.
So, at first I thought about buying a pair and having them dyed. Then I wondered whether I could just take the covers off mine and put them on whatever I would buy. That would be the perfect match.
When I looked at this a while ago I think HeavyD and Handmade may have looked into the issue. Would like to know if anyone has done it though.
PS: They look the same at a glance in terms of form. Just that the color is not a match. The h2's tilt and the 04 AV does not -- -- yet.

FYI - The headrests from the 02's (articulating) will fit 03's and up also.
Shouldn't be a color matching issue with those.

Just like another member said, the '02 AV's had that type of headrest. Or if you are set on an H2 (I have never taken notice of an H2 headrest) Go to a Hummer Dealer with your headrest in hand. Ask if you could look at an H2 and compare the two. If the dimentions are the same the covers should be interchangable.
You could also go to an auto interior place and have him make matching one's for you in leather. Good Luck !!!
I've been looking for a pair of 02's but haven't found any. Even then, the color is close but is not a match. GM does this just to screw with us.
The h2's are pretty widely available and that's what got me there.
I'm considering recovering or redying but it just occurred to me that hte covers might be interchangable. If I found someone that's done it that would be helpful.
