Hello everyone.... I'm located over near Martinsburg and just purchased an 04' Avalanche, sunburst orange this weekend and I really love this website, it provided me with lots of information and reviews before I made my purchase.

Thanks to everyone and I look forward to talking with everyone!

Hey there to all my WV brothers! I'm in Charles Town and I'm hoping there's a eastern panhandle GTG coming up!!!

just got my Avey on Sunday night (from Koons in Tyson's Corner, VA...great buying experience, FWIW)...just couldn't resist the $4500 rebate plus the couple of $500 certs they found for me to take the loaded one on the lot instead of them having to get one transferred in.

$5500 below invoice=very happy me.

amber DRL mod is first on the list...if you see the Dark Grey with the brush bar, that'll be me.

I see that we are starting to get a pan handle contingent, might just have to meet somewhere later this summer to get to know each other (y)

the eastern panhandle growing fast and strong!!!

for anyone interested there's a GTG in Chantilly, VA (Capital Expo Center) on June 12th at Noon. look in the VA section for more details. I work in Sterling and will be sneaking over to meet everyone and spread the good word of WV Avey's!

amber's will be installed by this weekend...LOOK OUT!!! he's gone MOD-Crazy!

hope to see some of you on the 12th (c'mon it's not very far...)

I am going to miss the Chantilly GTG by about a week. Next time I pass through I'll give you a yell.

While living in the beautiful hamlet of Round Hill I made the same daily drive as you untill I moved our business to Leesburg. Back then Rt. 7 was 2 lane all the way and could be over an hours drive.
 
I guess that I am the "original" WV club member from the Eastern Panhandlej. Have been keeping a lookout for the newbies around here (Charles Town area and our fellow VA members in Northern Virginia. I live in C'Town but work in Purcellville and usually drive the White Beast to work, though with gas lately getting pricey, (unless you buy it in the Winchestger area), I have been driving my wife's little miser. Will be looking out for you all in the future. ;D ;D ;D

where are you in C'town? I'm in Huntfield (just south of town...the new neighborhood everyone loves to hate :p)

I'm thinking we need to have a panhandle mini-GTG pretty soon...if for no other reason than to know who in the heck I'll be wavin' to!!! who's with me on this? based on how few of us there are out here, it shouldn't be a real challenge to find a place to meet.

I'm going to the Chantilly GTG on the 12th...any others planning on making the hike? jasonplace? sams AV? mike?

btw...jasonplace that's cool that you and I brought our baby's into the world on the same weekend. did you get her in M'burg? let me know about your dealer service experience, as I'm a little sketched out about the local Chevy dealer here in C'town (Alex Chevrolet).

Yeah, I'm going to try my best to make it out to the Chantilly GTG... I didn't buy mine locally I couldn't get anyone to wheel and deal, I ended up purchasing mine over in Leesburg at Jerry's. Its a Z71, Sunburst Orange, but no mods yet. I'm actually from Winchester, I moved up here to Bunker Hill/Inwood about 5 years ago. I'm very familar with Huntfield I'm a Realtor and I sell quite a few houses over in Charles Town... I'm suppose to close on a townhouse in Green Meadows on Friday of this week.

So far I really love my new AV... I'm taking it over to Jerry's Chevy sometime tomorrow or Thursday to have them check out a howling/whirling noise from under the hood it makes the noise when I accelerate, and seems to do it more when it is hot outside... I first thought it was the tranny or power steering pump but now I'm not really sure.

I look forward to meeting everyone sooner or later...
