HELP broke down now

Member is broke down will not crank...battery ok, lights all work....Trying the unhook batt for 10 min now, need other ideas now2.Butch

Is the starter cranking but not turning over?

I have a  extra PCM with me, are they intrchangble    ....both are 2002

Could be his solenoid, do the old fashioned bang the solenoid with a tire iron trick while someone turns the key, or bang and turn if he is alone. When he turns the key do the accesories turn off like normal when turned to the start position? If so I would bet it's the solenoid.

Yup, get a hammer and wack the starter when someone has the key in the cranking pos.

I am not where they are broke ?down, accross road gettig free internet connection....ask and they ?are looking into something else now.... will try the hammer next......can it be the pcm and will my extra one work?

Smack it a time or two witha  tire iron or ratchet handle, that'll do it!  Works most every time.................

Nice going Butch, you are a GOOD NEIGHBOR, and Didit, great idea, I've smacked starters for years, it many times does work, certainly worked this time!
