Can any of the Canadian guys tell me if they have bought Trim Shine in Canada?

If not, what are you using on the cladding?

Is there a product here that doesn't streak if it rains?

But it online......direct or from some other retailers.....

There are a bunch of products that work on cladding and all have pros and cons......the ones with UV inhibitors tend to be water borne and streak when rain.......others that look good are oil based and do not have UV inhibitors...........

I play around and use different stuff everytime

Zaino tire dressing
303 aerospace
Meguairs - rubber and vinyl protectant
Klasse - rubber, vinyl & plastic protectant cleaner
Stoner - Trim shine
etc etc etc etc............

The oily ones give the best look but seem to attract dead bugs........

The water based ones do not last along.....

I can prevent streaks and drips by coming back and doing a final buff with large towel........

HTH

Trim Shine is the only thing that I've tried so far on my new Av. Time will tell all, but so far I'm pleased and have no reason to try anything else. No mess was the best part.

You can get it straight from Stoner here. Site didn't specifically say they ship outside of US, but you can check.

If you still have difficulty obtaining, it wouldn't be too much trouble to send you some, although I couldn't get much further away from you :)

Well, I decided a road trip was in order for the Av. So I drove 2 hours south of where I live to Grand Forks, ND.

I bought every can of Trim Shine there. There was only 6 cans in the whole town. I sure am glad I made the trip. I now know I can get all the goodies I want in Grand Forks. I guess I'll be making a few trips! >:D

Their web site is here. You can order there, or call them 1-800-227-5538.

According to their page it is available at Oil Changers (in the GTA only). It also says that PartSource carries Invisible Glass; maybe they can order it?

I called them and they won't order it. They didn't give me reason why either.
That's kind of crazy but maybe their supplier won't order it. Well if you don't want to make the trip to NoDak, maybe you can order it from the website. Don't know if you'd get a better exchange rate or if the shipping cost would be exhorbitant though.

If that fails, the next time I run up to/near Canada I can stick a box in the mail at the nearest Canada Post to the border. ?:D

WalMart probably can't beat the price down enough to want to carry it, or they get a low enough price from one of the competitors to it. WalMart doesn't do anything unless they can get it at bottom dollar.

A professional detailer just did the first job on my AV and used a product called "F1" Magic by Pro Chem. It's a petroleum base dressing like Trim Shine and looks great. they buy it for less than $10 a gallon.

And why do you think it is so cheap.......

Most pro stuff is designed to look awesome at first and cover up lots.....but not to last so you will go back for more.......IMO.....

Remember a pro detailer wants to get your detail done as quick as possible so they buy stuff that saves them time not neccessarily what is best for your ride.....

just trying to explain the detailing bidnezz.....

PEACE

Trim Shine on line will ship free to lwer 48 states but charges $10.00 something S&H to Canada.
YGMN- better y'all should collect dead bugs on the Av- who would want live ones? Years ago I was in a flash flood out in the back country in a Bronco- and I had every bug imaginable on and in the truck- really scarry with those critters biting me. They just float on the water surface and cling when they hit something- and bite. Nice to know Trim Shine kills'em dead! (y) ;) ;D
