I have narrowed down my choices to four avalanches. However where they are (2 are two hrs away in one direction the other 1 and 1.5 away in a different one) only allows me to look at two of them. I was looking for some feedback on what people think are the best buys.

Basic:
Z71
Cladded
Dark Blue Metallic / Dark Charcoal Trim
Sun and Sound
Luggage Rack
WOL tires

Vehicle 1:
10 way leather seats
Driver Convenience
Charcoal Assist Steps
Ground Effects
MSRP: 42920

Vehicle 2:
Cloth six way seats
Driver Convenience
Charcoal Assist Steps
Side Impact Air Bags
MSRP: 42120

Vehicle 3:
10 way leather seats with adjustable pedals
Chrome Assist Steps
Ground Effects
MSRP: 42535
Dealer gave me an email quote of 34000 including rebates

Vehicle 4:
10 way leather seats
Driver Convenience
Charcoal Assist Steps
Side Impact Air Bags
Rear Seat DVD
MSRP: 44370

I think that with the Sun and Sound and Z71 package the only thing the Driver Convenience package gives you is adjustable pedals. So I think they are all equal in that area.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Also I could use a gm in my dirveway certificate as well.

I doubt he'll do that...he could just get it serviced locally. Last year I searched for an Av and found one about 2 1/2 hours away from me. I've never been back to that dealership but I've found good service places near where I'm at.

i would do anything with leather seats and chrome assist steps. not real crazy about the cladded-type steps. cloth seats are good because they do not require the care leather does. but, leather looks so good. vehicle 3 sounds good as far as options and that reduced price. what type of ground effects are we talking about?

driver convenience package gives you more than just adjustable pedals ....

with DCP ... you can track your milage per tank on the Personnel setup for tracking MPG, Gas used, disatance ..... you also have this setup under Business too .... just make sure what ever vehicle you get has both DCP AND Steering Wheel controls ....

If you are in now hurry to purchase then wait about 6-8 weeks and 2005's will show up at dealer lots ..... 2005 will have the NAv. system in it .... like the Caddy EXT ....

if you really want lether go with 4 otherwise go with 2 ...

Thanks for the input.

Since I posted this earlier I have been in contact with a different dealer and he agreed to find me one with the following options (min):

Z71
Dark Blue Mettalic
Dark Charcoal Trim
WOL Tires
Sun and Sound
Luggage Rack
Full Feature Leather Seats
Side Impact Air Bags

For a price of 32899 plus 165 admin fee

So I have decided to go with that. Provided nothing goes wrong I should have it on Friday

If you have you GM in the driveway certificate you don't have to pay admin fees. Don't let them con you out of your cash.

I don't have a gm in the driveway certificate. Given the deal I don't think I could do better with one either. Before the 4500 rebate they appear to be about $300 under invoice.

That is worst case as I don't think there is a vehicle out there with only the equipment I listed on it. They have to absorb the cost of any extra equipment (Driver Conv, Assisst Steps, Rear Seat DVD, Ground Effects are possible ones) that the vehicle has or refund my $500 deposit and be stuck with the truck on their lot.

I searched through chevy.com and gmbuypower.com and the only vehicle in NH, VT, Northern MA, and ME from Brunswick south that met all the requirements was my Vehicle 4 listed above. Though they may have been able to get one from outside that area with less extras. So I don't see how I can lose out at this point. I am most likely going to get the DCP and / or assist steps for free.

Oh and if for some reason this deal falls apart the dealer with my vehicle 3 siad he will beat the other dealer by $800.
