O.K. I have been reading through posts and threads for the past month or so. :2:

I 99% sure that I have decied to get the MB Motoring Smooth wheels with the Nitto Terra Grappler AT. (y)

I have a 2003 Cladded Basic AV 4X4. I more than likely will have the F#@d index keys install and level out the front end. ;D

I am not sure if this will allow me a bigger tire or not. ???

I am not sure If I will get 18" or 20" wheels, right not I am leaning toward the 18" because of the price difference in the 18" to 20" tires.:7: :9:

Can someone help me and tell me what the biggest size tires I could get for the 18" and the 20".

I have read so much now I am confused. ( AGAIN). :E: :E:

For the 20" I thought it was 305/50/20 with no rubbing.

For the 18" I thought it was 305 or 315/60/18.

I believe the 325/60/18 require some cutting. I am going to try to find that thread now to see how much. I would not mind cutting a little.

Thanks for all the help as usale.

RON

i was told that the biggest tire that can fit is a 305
tire.

so for 20 is 305/50/20 and 305/60/18........

RONALDFS,

I have the MB Motoring Smooths on my AV....I have a WBH, and I went with the Goodyear GTs 305/50/20....no rubbing! Click on "Under Construction" in my signature block for pics! Good luck, these rims are very easy to maintain!

Thanks for the reply guys.

Cisco did you get these from Discounttiresdirect. If so how much if you dont mind??

I am ready to call them. If you got these from there how was the service? Can you just pop the old tires off and pop the new ones on?

Any problems with them? They told me that they are very easy to clean, true?

Do the GY Eagle GT II give you a good ride?

I might get the ford keys done to level the front end before I put the tires on.

thanks,
RON

I have 325/60/18 Nitto's on my 02... You will have to have the ford keys and some trimming to get these to work... Sorry I do not have pics up yet, have been sick :9: If I can help I will try.

Well lets start with the first question: I got them from Discount Tires (the store) and they had them in stock.
They cost me $1470 rims and tires with all the warranties....The service was awesome, he even through in a brandnew Gorilla breaker wrench with adaptors to fit both my rim locks.
When they installed them we checked to see if there was any rubbing and it was good to go...no rubbing (y)
They are very easy to clean! No little places on the rim to cut up your hands just to clean.
The GY GTII in my opinion are a smooth ride...I went with the 305/50/20s, because wider is better for me.
Overall I was happy with my service...I shopped around other stores and the salesman told me he would match anyone's price and make a better deal.

Hope this helps!

Cisco04 I don't see it in your signature but are you running any kind of lift? Torsion Bars cranked? or did you fit 305/50/20's on a stock Av?
I am thinking about getting the same size tires and I want to be sure there won't be any rubbing. (y)

Blue Dragon AV,

Nope! I'm not running any lift at all...Discount Tire slapped the front tires on and we did a rub check turning the steering wheel all the way to the left and the right...I put my hand between the wheel and the wheel well and there was clearance and no rubbing. Were you able to access my photo album? Please let me know...I hope this helps (y)

Cisco thanks very much for this info. You said Discount tire store. I take this is different then the online place. Actually i talked to discounttiresdirect.com maybe I'll try discount tire.com

They want $1640 for the smooth and 305/50/20's GY Eagle GT II's. This includes caps and chrome locking lug nuts and chrome valve steems. Did you get the chrome valve steems?

I tried to access your web site earlier but was unable to view most of the pics. The ones i did see were in a parking garage or something and were dark. Any chance of sending me some pics to my home e-mail (Ronaldfs19@aol.com) I seen pics on a different post but they were 18" ones. A few side view pics would be greatly appreacited. The more pics the merryer.

Thanks so much,
RON

Thanks Grey,
I have seen pics of the grapplers and they do look so sweet.
I think I am going with the 20" rims and the grapplers for that size are $318 each. Too much for my pocket so I will probably get the Eagle GT II's.

RON

You can always go with at 275/55/20 Capitol Negotiators..... ;D

They fill things up quite well with no rubbing at all....20X9.5

How about driving conditions when you corner or hit bumps is there anything? You've checked the cladding and wheel well plastic for any signs of rubbing?

P.S. I have no problem accessing you photo album, but I am a webshots subscriber! (y)

Correct me if I am wrong but don't the GT II's have a tendency to hydroplane? Or is that another of Goodyear's tires?

Well, I ordered my wheels and tires today and should get them around tuesday of next week.

I got them from discounttiresdirect. After wheeling and dealing $1552. (y)

20" Smooth with 305/50r/20 Goodyear Eagle GT II.

Caps, locking lugs and chrome valve steems. ;D

I am happy with the deal that I got, now I need to paint the brake caliper and wait for the tires to get here. >:D

Well the UPS guy dropped off my wheels and tires around 10:30 this morning. He was amazed out how big these tires were. I was also amazed at how big these things were. I could not believe how wide they were.

here's a pic of the 305/50/20 compared to my stock 265/75/16's.
