Hey Florida! Do we need our own decals?

What do ya'll think? I think that we should come up with a State Logo ala Colorado, Texas etc.

Reminder: Ideas should NOT include Bowties.

I'm doing this in PAINT :cautious: , and the real version is too large for my hosting services. That is why the quality is just so-so. The real files are like 800 kb.

These could be done in appropriate truck colors or in the colors of your favorite NCAA or NFL team.
 
I'm all for it! If you want to do some in color and email them to me, I'll use Microsoft Picture It! software and make them Internet Ready which will reduce it from over 800K to as low as 30K - 80K. fgetter@cfl.rr.com
 
Good Idea Chad. I think you should incorporate CAFCNA.COM somewhere on it.
You will need to create this in an illustrator or alike program if you want to have it printed. They will most likely need it in a Vector format. Try useing Adobe illustrator.

Let me know if you get this rolling. I will sport one on my window along side my Savannah chapter sticker I got from Tinman ;D

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I think we should keep this CA/CAFCNA neutral. Most people are members of both anyway. At least they should be... ;D

Ghost, don't take these as the final design. We can nominate vote etc.

Les, I think we should choose the design and then tweak it accordingly, but we'll definitely let you know.

I think a Florida Club decal would be great! I really like the way the NORCAL one's look--something like that with our state on it would be cool!!!

What about FLorida AValanche CLUB-- FLAV CLUB--is that stupid???

Or maybe a sunshine in the background of the state???

Palm tree was a nice idea, too. But I agree we should keep it kinda simple but cool.

I also like the yellow and black colors (like the NORCAL)...

anyway, just a few ideas....

I am in. I will be there soon and I should be driving into the Great State of FLorida with my decal on.. I am also getting a SAV one from Tinmann so that way I will be ready to rock in July.


But YES put me down for one. Chad let me know the cost.
and if it goest to a vote which ever one wins is cool with me.

} Black and Gold color scheme is a standard for CAF Clubs. I can play with Black and Gold....

} Oviedo, I would assume that those who are site loyalists would have decals for CA or CAFCNA. I'm really not thinking that these are going to be that big (3.5 - 4.5 inches). That's my .02 :cautious: I have a CAFCNA decal, when their printed and available, I'll have a CA decal. My point for not having a url was to keep it open to Florida AV owners and not a connection to any site in particular...Unless we get our own site.... :0:

I like the round decal but it's kinda plain. Can you add a boarder (pinstripe?) and maybe a sun (sunshine state-although you'd never know it from the looks of today!) or a palm tree or both?
I wish I could show you what I mean but I am not good on the computer graphics kinda stuff...

Mo, I don't have very good graphics capabilities. Like I said before, I did the above suggestions in MS Paint. :(

OK here are my thoughts...

First, I don't much like stickers. This is purely personal preference, but I just wanted to get that out of the way up front :)

I realize that we are kind of "loosely" organized right now (at least in Central Florida). Are you thinking of making a statewide chapter, or just making a sticker that people from Florida could put on their Avlanches, regardless of area, regardless of club affiliation, etc.?

Re: club affiliation...I'm confused as to what is being proposed. Again, is this just a generic "we all like Avalanches" sticker? If I were to put a sticker on my Avlanche (not likely, but heh, you never know) I'd want to support and advertise for this club. If I "unofficially" ( :rolleyes:) happen to put something together as an event, I'd do so under the umbrella (and rules?...are there any?) of this club. I have nothing against other club(s), I simply choose as of right now to participate in this one only.

So my question really is, what are these stickers for?
