I hate the 265/70R16's on my stock 2003 4x4. I "think" I can get by with a 1" or 1.5" spacer and outfit the 305/70/R16 Cooper Discoverer STT PRO's. I'm considering those or RBPMT Repulsors? mayyybeee the Kumho Road Venture MT KL71. Basically I want the widest, biggest, chunky-ish tire I can fit for $200each or less. I won't do much off roading, but I like the look and need them for snow in PA. I don't do a lot of miles either to and from work. I also don't want a "loud" tire. Hope you guys can help, I'd really appreciate it. Just bought my truck last week!!

I have 285-7516?s on my 2003 Cladded and I added the Torison leveling keys to give it to the height. When I first put them on they rubbed like crazy on turns until they wore the plastic out that was rubbin on the inner fender liners. I probably have about 6K on them now and they still rub when I go in reverse on certain turns, and certain turns on driveways. Def going to need to add a level and do some trimming to get rid of the rubbing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlcunE_41Cw

Those are the exact tires i?m running, so they are a bit knobby so that probably has bit to do with the rubbing as well I assume.

Thanks for the insight! very helpful. Do you think spacers would help at all or make it worse? I'm guessing there's no problem with the rear tires. Those Hercules tires are mean.

No problemm. The suspension on the ave uses torsion bars so you can only add spacers to the rear which doesn?t turn so you don?t need to worry about it. Honestly I?m not sure on the front how bad it would rub without a lift. I want to say my keys are cranked all the way and I?m still rubbing on occasion so It may be a little tight on front inner lining. I think I have 3 inch torsion leveling keys which was at the time, the biggest they made. Best thing to do if you can is go to the tire shop you plan on purchasing the tires and see if they have a used tire that size and slap it on for you.  That?s what I did before purchasing the Hercules, the guy wanted to make sure I was happy with the size before ordering them for me
