Check truckaddons.com...Go Rhino...chrome $98 + $15ups. ?They have polished stainless for $128 and black for $78 (not sure of last 2 prices). ?
Thanks for the heads up. I just ordered the stainless model for $129+$15 shipping from Truckaddons. They had it in stock.

Hi Kps,

I have a lot of tailgaters where I live. I think it's because they can't see around me.

By the time they get a good look, I'm stepping on the brake and they disappear from my sight. All I see is the top of their antenna.

Which one are you going with, Trex?

I think I am going to get a black one and paint it grey to match the bumper cladding.

Is everyone just using these for show and backup insurance then? You guys really don't need to the step right? Curious because my receiver is going unused and is asking for something chrome ;D

"Show" & "Backup Insurance" is the only reason for this add-on. It doesn't add hp or mpg, doesn't make the front end brighter, nor your breath fresher or teeth whiter! Given the cost of a new bumper however, it's a deal at twice the price. Mine's already paid for itself. Given a need for chrome and the lack thereof on the Av's tail side - go for it!

My GoRhino! step arrived today. It looks good, but...
... the black pad is curling up and away from the tubing on one end. Is this happening to anyone else? Any fixes? I hate to send it back and wait a couple of weeks for another one.

Did you install the anti-rattle nut and bolt add on that it came with?
No, In fact I am going to have to send it back as it turns out. The suare tubing is not welded on perpendicular to the round tubing so the bumper touches one end while the other end hangs out 2 inches into the wild blue yonder :8:

Steelheadchaser, sorry to hear of your problem. I would love to meet the nitwit that packaged that GoRino step. There's an employee anyone could do without. Hope the replacement meets your expectations.

After waiting 3 days for Truckaddons to respond by email (they make you do returns on-line), they informed me that it is a "warranty issue" (well DUH!) and that I will have to take any problems up directly with GoRhino! Needless to say that I am not impressed with Truckaddons. Actually, I have to take that back, they have made a very BIG impression on me!

I received my Go Rhino Black Hitch Step Friday, and it has the same problem. When I install it on my truck, one side sticks out over an inch more than the other side. Are there only 2 of us this has happened to, or does Go Rhino have a manufacturing problem? I hate to send this heavy thing back more than once!

Who did you order yours from? Are they going to take care of it or did they direct you to GoRhino! as Truckaddons did to me?
I talked to GoRhino! directly. They issued a "call tag" and a return authorization number. The call tag means they pick up the freight charge. I have been waiting a week however for the pick-up. ?I will keep you posted on my progress.

It came from www.performanceproducts.com. I have ordered from them many times over the years, and have found them to be a good company to deal with.

I did not install it until today, so I will have to wait until tomorrow to call them. It looks like I just should return it to them and they will replace it. I just hope the replacement is OK.

I ordered mine direct from GoRhino a few months back and while it took longer than expected to arrive (about 3 weeks as I recall...), it fits fine with no significant tilt to one side or the other. Maybe one of their manufacturing jigs is out of whack?

I'm intending on purchasing a CAFCNA decal but was wondering if there's anything being thrown around about a hitch cover with the logo on it? My AV is already sticker heavy, in my opinion. Thanks,

Yea, Stainless steel Hitch Cover would be sweeeetttt!!!

Beast, Could you post pictures of your AV... Sounds just like mine only White instead of Black.

flynhigh beat me to the punch...please post pics of your Av if you are able...I too would love to see the Welds.

There's some pix of it on the Reader's Rides Screen Saver post...Not good ones, but I'm still working on my photography skills!

My replacement Go Rhino step arrived yesterday. It is aligned perfectly. I guess they just have one bad employee who does not care about quality control.

Just a note about www.performanceproducts.com. I called them to report my defective (crooked) Go Rhino Hitch Step. They sent the replacement that day and since I had ordered the original one via UPS 2nd day, they sent the replacement one the same way. They mailed me a UPS label to put on the other box for return.

The way this problem was handled certainly exceeded my expectations.

I am still waiting for the call tag! Maybe one day I'll have a non-defective step :6:

Steelheadchaser, sorry to hear you STILL have not had your step replaced. Perhaps we need a forum of problems like yours dealing with vendors. I would certainly be wary of ordering from Truckaddons simply because of your issues. I wonder if anyone else has had similar complaints. Anyway, please let us know when you receive your replacement. Best of luck.
